Weekend lunch with kids at Yong Hanu Namcheon, Busan hanwoo BBQ

Today I'm bringing you a spot that's perfect for a company dinner in Namcheon-dong too — Yong Hanu Namcheon Branch, a hanwoo (Korean beef) special-cuts restaurant near Namcheon Station!

I went with the kids for weekend lunch, and the owner grilled everything for us himself, so it was such an easy meal haha.

Interior vibe — the golden dragon mural and private booths

Right as you walk in, there's a huge golden dragon painting hanging up, and it gives off a surprisingly upscale feel haha. All the seats are set up as private booths, so I could eat comfortably without worrying about the table next to us.

There's also a row of whiskies displayed on one side, which seemed perfect for anyone having a company dinner. We went with the kids so we didn't drink, but even just the atmosphere felt classy lol.

Hanwoo special cuts assortment, 5 servings — chuck flap, tri-tip, and neck chain

Today we ordered 5 servings of the hanwoo special cuts assortment! Three cuts — chuck flap, tri-tip, and neck chain — come on one plate, and at the limited-quantity discounted price it was ₩16,000 per 100g. I honestly wondered if this marbling could really be right for this price T_T

The owner grills the meat for you

The surprising thing was that the owner grilled everything himself! We didn't lift a finger — just sat there and ate haha. If you have kids, this is such a lifesaver, since you don't have to worry about tending the grill.

Egg soufflé, mild doenjang stew, and roasted gim

I ordered egg soufflé to feed the kids too haha. With the mild doenjang stew (soybean paste stew) as a set, the meal felt completely filling.

They also gave us freshly roasted gim (seasoned seaweed), and my younger one just stuffed a whole piece in her mouth at once haha.

How did the kids like it?

My two kids seriously wolfed it all down today lol. Since the hanwoo was so tender, they chewed it easily and even mixed rice into their egg soufflé like pros.

Usually they fuss a bit over side dishes at BBQ places, but today there was none of that — they ate everything well. I guess it's the hanwoo, because even my picky eaters cleaned their plates haha. Thanks to a Naver review, we even got yukhoe too! Hahaha.
