I suddenly craved hanwoo (Korean beef) after watching YouTube, so I went to a hanwoo omakase spot in Seoul to mark a special day — here's my honest review!

The Hapjeong hanwoo omakase restaurant visited for an anniversary

Hanwoo mukbangs had been popping up in my feed nonstop for a while now. I kept watching them every night and swallowing my drool, and since it also happened to be an anniversary, I finally went and came away thoroughly satisfied — here's my honest take on Eutteum Aged Hanwoo No.9 Hapjeong Branch, haha.

How to walk from Hapjeong Station Exit 9 to Eutteum Aged Hanwoo No.9

Eutteum Aged Hanwoo No.9 Hapjeong Branch is on the first floor of the Mapo Hangang Prugio 2 commercial building at 14 World Cup-ro 3-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul. It's about a 3-minute walk from Exit 9 of Hapjeong Station, and honestly really easy to find.

When I'm hunting for a Hapjeong restaurant, the first thing I check is how close it is to the station, so the location alone already won me over. ✨

Opening hours and last order

⏱️ 11:00–22:00 / ✔️Last order 21:30 / 👉Opens at 12:00 on Saturdays and Sundays

Eutteum Aged Hanwoo is open from lunchtime, so it's also a good place to grab lunch in Hapjeong. Since there's bar seating, I'd imagine plenty of people stop by for a solo meal in Hapjeong too, haha. With several signed autographs hanging on the wall like proof of being a real Hapjeong hotspot, I was already excited just walking through the entrance, haha.

This Hapjeong restaurant really came through on parking support too, so it's easy to drive there. At the end of the day, a place with good parking is just the best, right? Haha.

Inside Eutteum Aged Hanwoo No.9: seating, and can you bring a baby?

The moment I opened the door, the lighting was so soft and the mood was amazing. It wasn't the loud, chaotic feel you usually get at a Korean BBQ place — it was clean and calm, which made it perfect as a Hapjeong date restaurant.

Interior view of the restaurant with bar and table seating

There's both bar seating and table seating, so you can pick whichever you like, and they even have coat hangers — a thoughtful touch, haha.

While we were eating, other guests kept coming and going, including families out for a meal and what looked like a Hapjeong get-together. A group of about six women were seated at the next table for what seemed like a gathering plus dinner, and they looked pretty satisfied too :)

Grilling meat yourself can be really chaotic and tiring, right? But here, staff grill the meat perfectly from start to finish with a tableside grilling service, so I'd highly recommend it to parents looking for a Hapjeong restaurant to bring a baby to.

You can look after your baby while still eating meat comfortably!! (It really felt like being treated to a proper Hapjeong Station omakase experience 👍)

Menu and prices at Eutteum Aged Hanwoo No.9 Hapjeong Branch

The menu was packed — hanwoo assorted sets, à la carte cuts, yukhoe, and a variety of sides and meal dishes. (Corkage available for ₩20,000)

The signature sets are the Hanwoo Special Set at ₩165,000 (600g), the Hanwoo Assorted Set Large at ₩138,000 (600g), and the Hanwoo Assorted Set Medium at ₩109,000 (450g). Each set comes with 100g of yukhoe, so I'd say this counts as a great-value Hapjeong restaurant.

Menu listing à la carte cuts like special tenderloin and chuck flap

On the à la carte side, all the good cuts were there — special tenderloin, tail-side flap meat, chuck flap, ribeye, skirt, shoulder blade, and more. I couldn't drink that day so I skipped the alcohol menu at Eutteum Hanwoo Hapjeong, but they had discounted premium wines and champagne, premium soju, sake, highballs, and cocktails — so next time, on a Hapjeong anniversary visit, I definitely want to pair drinks with the meat, haha.

What we ordered: the Hanwoo Special Set 600g for 165,000 won

Plate of meat from the Hanwoo Special Set 600g

Since I came here craving hanwoo after all those YouTube videos, we went straight for the Hanwoo Special Set! The moment the marbling and color of the meat came out on the plate, I actually gasped.

Doesn't the meat look absolutely stunning?🥹 Out loud we just quietly said it looked delicious, but inside I was screaming 'IT'S HANWOO!!!!! LET'S GOOOO!!!!!!!!!!' haha.

Side dishes and sauces: cockle salad, yukhoe and anglerfish liver sushi

Along with the meat came nice side dishes like myeong-i namul (wild garlic leaves), scallion salad, garlic scape jorim, baek kimchi (white kimchi), and regular kimchi, plus a variety of sauces — wasabi, salt, basil pesto, and beef sauce, haha.

Among Hapjeong hanwoo restaurants, this place had one of the most generous basic table settings I've seen — even before touching the meat, the chewy cockle salad and sesame-scented yukhoe already made me feel full and satisfied :)

Sushi-style rice topped with yukhoe and anglerfish liver

They also served fresh yukhoe and savory anki-mo (anglerfish liver) on top of vinegared rice, sushi-style, so you could mix and match — it made for a fun little tasting.

Charcoal grilling service: staff cook every cut for you

What's great about this place is the omakase-style format where staff grill the meat for you over a charcoal brazier.

Hanwoo is such a shame to overcook, but with a pro's hands grilling it just right and plating each cut separately, all we had to do was eat comfortably, haha.

The moment I took a bite of the meat, grilled to just the right doneness over charcoal, I could feel the crisp outside and the juicy inside locking in all the flavor. The more I chewed, the more the rich hanwoo juices burst out and melted away in my mouth — it was truly moving!!! Looking back at these photos, I want to eat it all over again...hahaha 🥹

It especially hit different topped with spicy scallion salad, wasabi, and fragrant basil pesto, or dipped in soy sauce with sliced chili — I never got tired of it! If you're looking for a Hapjeong beef restaurant or a Seoul hanwoo restaurant, you really, truly need to come here!!!!

Finishing the meal with yukhoe bibimbap and doenjang jjigae

After eating some of the meat, we ordered two meal dishes — yukhoe bibimbap and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) — to try, haha. ✔️For the review event we got to pick one of doenjang jjigae, ramyeon, or highball :)

Yukhoe bibimbap loaded with beef tartare and vegetables

The yukhoe bibimbap was loaded with fresh yukhoe, watercress(?), and plenty of vegetables — mixing it all together made for a clean, refreshing bite, haha.

Doenjang jjigae served bubbling in a stone pot

The doenjang jjigae came out bubbling in a stone pot, with a clean, savory broth. It was packed with tender beef, zucchini, mushrooms, and more — a perfect partner for the grilled meat.

Table with meal dishes and grilled meat together

Overall the meal dishes felt neat and clean :) They seemed to bring out the flavor of the meat even more when eaten together. I went on a whim after getting hyped up by YouTube, but came away genuinely, fully satisfied. Both the owner and staff were kind, which made it even better, and thanks to the grilling service handling everything from start to finish, we never had to worry about burning the meat and could just enjoy the mood and the taste completely :)

Table set for a hanwoo omakase anniversary meal in Hapjeong

For a reasonable price with melt-in-your-mouth aged hanwoo, it was genuinely the best for setting a special-occasion mood, haha. If you're looking for a Hapjeong omakase date spot or a Hapjeong Station hanwoo restaurant, definitely save this one!

This is a place where I can 100000% guarantee your girlfriend will be impressed, haha. Everyone, go stuff yourselves at this Hapjeong Station hanwoo restaurant like I did and pat your full belly on the way out ✨🫶
