The menu lineup here is really solid too. The prices of the signature items are so kind, right?

How were the pork belly galbi and marinated galbi?
At Gim Geumja Daeyeon Branch we started with the "100% real pork belly galbi." It's said to be a combination of skinless pork belly and galbi, and grilled over charcoal the juiciness and smoky flavor were seriously something~ So nutty and rich in the mouth!

And Gim Geumja's signature "100% Korean pork marinated galbi" uses a 15-year-old house marinade, maybe that's why it wasn't too sweet and I just kept eating it~

After the meat: doenjang rice and fried eggs
After stuffing yourself with meat at Gim Geumja Daeyeon Branch, you absolutely have to order the "doenjang rice" (doenjang sullbap, ₩6,800) as your meal! It's boiled with rich traditional doenjang (fermented soybean paste), so it feels like the greasy heaviness in your stomach just settles~
Also add the "3 fried eggs" (₩1,800), which go perfectly with meat, and put them on top of your rice. Freshly cooked rice, a bite of meat and an egg on top, honestly nothing beats this little everyday happiness!

Is the ₩1,000 bone soup really worth trying?
The bone soup (ppyeotguk) at Gim Geumja Daeyeon Branch is a whole ₩1,000, a great-value dish you have to try! And it's not only good value, the taste is insane too ㅠㅠ If you have it with soju, I think one bowl of bone soup per bottle of soju could work~

What to try next, and the closing meal
The menu at Gim Geumja Daeyeon Branch is so varied that choosing is half the fun. The chewy honeycomb pork skin is a must after the meat, and I really want to try the juicy whole pork jowl and the chewy whole skirt meat too~

The closing meal options are plentiful too: cold jjolmyeon (chewy noodles), kimchi-broth noodles, janchi guksu (banquet noodles), mul naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles in broth), tray-style spicy bibim naengmyeon and more. Perfect for picking whatever you like, right? Whichever you choose, you won't go wrong, so I think everyone would be satisfied even at a big group dinner. Overall the meat quality was good and the service was friendly, so it was a really satisfying time.

Why I recommend Gim Geumja for a team dinner in Daeyeon-dong
Above all, I think the biggest plus of Gim Geumja Daeyeon Branch is that the prices aren't a burden. If you're wondering where to hold a team dinner in Daeyeon-dong, or want a hearty meal with family, definitely go! If you want to really taste the smoky flavor of charcoal grilling, don't hesitate to visit!
