LOOOP Bakery is known for its unusual exterior, like a giant gift box wrapped in a ribbon. I visited this bakery café in Seongsu, and the building caught my eye right away, so even before going in there was fun to be had just looking around. Haha. It felt like stepping into a huge gift box!
Inside, it's decorated in clean white tones, so the whole place feels bright and pleasant. There's a kiosk, so ordering is easy. In the middle of the café is a circular coffee-making area. The space is large, with a variety of tables, so it was nice for taking my time.
On one side there's also a laptop set up for taking photos! You can get one print per person, so if you visit, you might want to keep a photo as a memory! Haha.

Is the chocolate egg tart at LOOOP Bakery very sweet?
The chocolate egg tart at LOOOP Bakery (₩5,900) was a pastry-style egg tart that has chocolate in it but isn't too sweet. I usually like egg tarts, but I rarely see ones with chocolate added, so I picked it out of curiosity. Haha.
Because it's pastry-style, I could feel the crispy texture the moment I cut it with a knife, and inside it was packed with the soft, moist chocolate custard filling that egg tarts are known for! The top is coated in chocolate, so you can really taste the chocolate flavor in each bite.
Even with the chocolate, it wasn't too sweet overall, so it never felt heavy. The combination of crispy pastry and soft filling was good too, and it's a dessert that goes well with coffee. Haha.
How does the decaf iced Americano at LOOOP Bakery taste?
The decaf iced Americano at LOOOP Bakery (₩6,500) had a moderate acidity. I ordered it to drink with dessert, and even though I usually don't like strongly acidic coffee, it didn't feel excessive to me, so it was fine.
Having it with the chocolate egg tart, the Americano's clean taste balanced the sweetness of the dessert nicely.
Why the iced café latte was my favorite at LOOOP Bakery
My personal favorite at LOOOP Bakery was the iced café latte (₩7,000)! I ordered it expecting an ordinary café latte, but it was heavier and nuttier than I thought, which was amazing...! 😳
It felt smooth and rich, like a latte made with aged milk, and I couldn't taste any of the usual bitterness of coffee. The nutty flavor really came through, yet it was easy to drink, so I was very satisfied. If you usually like lattes, I think it's worth trying. Haha.
