Yangyang café with an electric boat ride: Cafe Dunchi
In short
Cafe Dunchi is a café in Yangyang, Gangwon, where I visited with my child and took an electric boat ride with our drinks. The desserts and second-floor window seats were enjoyable, and the roughly 30-minute boat ride felt calm and steady during our visit.

While traveling in Gangwon, I stopped by Cafe Dunchi with my child. I initially thought it was simply a café with a good view, but it stayed with me because we could ride an electric boat while having drinks and then return to the café to rest.

Where is the café, and when can you use it?
Cafe Dunchi is at 295 Ilchul-ro, Yangyang-eup, Yangyang-gun. According to the original post, the café is open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with last orders at 8:30 PM. Boat operating hours are shorter, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The parking area was large.
We stopped by as part of an itinerary that took us from Yangyang to Goseong. It fit well into our route as a place where my child could enjoy an activity and we could take a short break.

Good seats for taking in the view at the café
The second floor was more spacious than I expected and had plenty of seating. The floor-to-ceiling windows gave an open view outside, making it a nice place to rest over coffee.

What were the desserts like with a child?
We ordered drinks along with egg tarts, scones, and madeleines. I liked the desserts more than I had expected.

The egg tart was crisp outside and moist inside. The scone was not dry and went well with coffee, while the madeleine was moist too, so the children enjoyed it. I thought it would be fine to stop by just for the desserts as well.

Can you take drinks onto the electric boat?
The electric boat was the experience I was most looking forward to on this visit.

At the time of our visit, we could board the boat carrying our drinks. It was a different kind of experience to look around from the water while drinking coffee.

How long was the boat ride with a child, and how much did it rock?
We rode the boat for about 30 minutes. Before boarding, I was worried about whether it would be okay with a child, but when I rode it, it did not feel excessively rocky and seemed steady. It also gave me the impression of being well maintained, which put me more at ease.

My child excitedly looked at the scenery, while I drank coffee and slowly took in the surroundings.

The green scenery and calm water seen from the boat remain memorable. Between taking photos and resting, the 30 minutes felt short.

How did we spend time after the boat ride?
My child had the boat activity, while the adults could have coffee and desserts and enjoy the view, so I was happy with this stop during our family trip.

After taking a lap around on the boat, we went back up to the café to rest. My child said the boat had been the most fun and wanted to ride again. For me, the most memorable part was sitting by the second-floor window and drinking coffee while looking at the view.

I liked that we could combine a boat experience with time to relax at a café in one place.

It also worked well for a travel itinerary like ours, moving from Yangyang to Goseong. If I return to Yangyang, I would like to visit again with my child.
