Foodie Naring-log here 😋 Every time I passed by the Jung-gu Office area, this new restaurant caught my eye haha, so I finally visited today ‼️

🚘 Parking tip There's no dedicated lot, but the Dongin public parking lot is close by and you can also use the Jung-gu Office parking lot. The Jung-gu Office lot is free on weekdays after 6:30pm and on Sundays, so keep that in mind if you're driving! (Parking hours and free conditions can change, so I'd recommend double-checking on the day you visit.)

- It's easy to find since it's right across from the Jung-gu Office
- The space is clean, so it works for family, groups, and dates alike
- Being across from the Jung-gu Office made it easy to find even on my first visit ‼️
There's also a bus stop right out front, which made getting there by public transit super convenient 🚌

Inside Taegyeongok: floor-to-ceiling windows and bar seats
Inside, traditional decor and lighting gave the space a clean, refined Korean aesthetic haha.

I found myself thinking, my parents would love this!! It felt like a great place to bring them. It also seemed like a good spot for family gatherings or get-togethers.

The clean atmosphere makes it good for dates or hanging out with friends, and it suits a proper meal too. If you're looking for a tidy Korean restaurant, this is worth adding to the list 😋😋

There are lighter menu items too, and with the bar seating, I saw some people dining solo ~ Really great for eating alone.

The floor-to-ceiling windows made the space feel open, and being able to see the street outside gave the whole meal a more relaxed feel — comfortable and pleasant the entire time haha.

They also had a wide variety of drinks on offer, which made it feel like a great spot for a drink alongside dinner 🍶

Taegyeongok menu and September event prices
Taegyeongok's menu board

Ordering is via kiosk! Looks like the event menu changes month to month!
- September event: 1+++ Number 9 yukhoe 28.0 ➡️ 23.0
- September event: Naju honey pear sorbet 8.0 ➡️ 5.0
- ✔️Ordered: 1+++ Number 9 yukhoe ₩23,000 (event price), Hamhung mul naengmyeon ₩11,000

By the door there's even hair ties, toothpicks, and mouthwash ready to go 👍🏻

The side dishes came out neat and tidy. The mustard and vinegar for the naengmyeon come in single-use packets, which I liked for how clean it felt haha.

How do the Hamhung mul naengmyeon and 1+++ Number 9 yukhoe taste?
Taegyeongok's Hamhung mul naengmyeon (₩11,000) had a cool broth that wasn't heavy at all, refreshingly clean with every sip, and the umami was insane ... 🥹 I couldn't stop eating ....
Slurping up the chewy noodles ~~ I lost count of how many times I said it was delicious haha. It was so good we even talked about bringing my parents next time.
Next up, the high-quality yukhoe came topped with egg yolk — breaking the yolk and mixing it into the beef brought out a big boost of nuttiness haha.
The meat wasn't chewy at all, more soft and tender, so the texture was great. The seasoning wasn't overpowering, so you could really taste the meat itself — I loved that.

Twirling the noodles into the cool broth and taking a bite cleans your palate right up ~~ then after a piece of yukhoe, going back to the noodles — the nutty richness and coolness alternate perfectly, and the combo is top-tier 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

If you're looking for a spot to take your family out in Dongin-dong, want a clean meal near the Jung-gu Office, or are hunting for the best naengmyeon or yukhoe in Daegu, definitely pay this place a visit ‼️‼️
