What is Grill Duck like, and is parking easy?

Grill Duck is a duck restaurant right near Starfield Bucheon, so it's easy to eat out and then go shopping. It's in my top few of all the duck places I've tried. Most people know duck is good for you and can help when you're dieting, so it feels like a guilt-free choice for eating out ~

🅿️ Grill Duck has plenty of parking and suits a family meal. I've been to restaurants with tiny parking lots, and having lots of space feels more relaxing (?). It may differ from person to person, but I definitely prefer roomy places.

There's a big lot behind the building, so parking is easy, and I'd recommend Grill Duck for family meals.

What else is on the menu besides duck?

For meals, Grill Duck also serves a duck rice bowl and duck soup in a clay pot, plus its signature jar barbecue. If you don't feel like only duck, you can also get Korean pork neck or Korean pork belly.

Is 800g of half-and-half duck too much for two?

Grill Duck's half-and-half duck is raw duck plus jumulleok (marinated duck), 800g in total, for ₩54,000. I wanted both grilled plain duck and jumulleok, and since there was a half-and-half option, order done!

I wondered if it would be too much for just my husband and me.. but he enjoyed it so much and ate a lot, so we cleared all 800g 🤍

We went on a Sunday, a little after lunch hour. It's fine for lunch, but duck honestly fills you up even more at dinner and is a diet-friendly food, so I'd recommend it even more for a dinner outing.

Grill Duck has a separate self bar, so you can grab more side dishes when you run out. Fresh vegetables to eat with the duck are set out there too.

Grilling raw duck and jumulleok on one table

The half-and-half duck came set up with 400g of raw duck and 400g of jumulleok, and you can grill both together on one table, so you get to taste both kinds.

I usually eat duck about once a month. It feels easier to digest than other meats and lighter on the stomach. And above all, I worry less about calories (?)

How does the free duck soup taste?

Grill Duck's duck soup comes free. The broth is mild and clean, and it pairs nicely with the jumulleok.

Can you bring kids?

If you visit with kids who can't eat jumulleok yet, the half-and-half duck also includes raw duck, so you can grill it and they'll eat it happily.

Raw duck or jumulleok: which was better?

I tried both the raw duck and the jumulleok at Grill Duck, and I couldn't pick a winner. Both tasted clean with no gamey smell, which impressed me. If friends asked me where to go when craving duck, I'd recommend Grill Duck.

800g is a lot, but it was so tasty you can't help eating it, and we cleared it between the two of us. That's why I recommend it as a great spot in Okgil-dong, Bucheon.
