Eungye-district BBQ restaurant in Siheung: Gyesu Garden signature set
In short
Gyesu Garden is a Korean BBQ restaurant in the Eungye district of Siheung, Gyeonggi, serving charcoal-grilled marinated pork galbi. The writer's family ordered the signature set — two servings of pork galbi plus one serving of LA galbi — with whole tomato ricotta cheese salad, doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) on the side. Because the marinade isn't spicy, Gyesu Garden suits a meal out with both young children and grandparents.

We went to Gyesu Garden in Siheung for a family BBQ meal over the weekend. My kids love pork galbi, so we were looking for somewhere to eat out together, and this place turned out to be great since it's not just about the meat — you can enjoy everything from the main course to dessert in one sitting. If you're looking for a good restaurant in the Eungye district of Siheung, or a BBQ spot to take your parents to, this one's worth checking out.
What is Gyesu Garden, and what comes in the signature set?
Gyesu Garden is a place in Siheung's Eungye district where you can enjoy charcoal-grilled marinated pork galbi. We ordered the signature set that day.

We chose the set with 2 servings of pork galbi plus 1 serving of LA galbi. We started with the whole tomato ricotta cheese salad, then after eating our fill of meat, we also ordered doenjang jjigae and bibim naengmyeon to round out the meal properly.

You can order via tablet at the table, which made adding extra dishes easy. There's also signage saying you can get café drinks per person after the meat course, so it's convenient to handle both the meal and dessert in one place.
Starting with Gyesu Garden's whole tomato ricotta cheese salad
The whole tomato ricotta cheese salad we ordered before the meat!

Doesn't it look pretty? Whole tomatoes paired with soft ricotta cheese, topped with nuts and vegetables — a great way to whet the appetite before the meat.
Cutting the tomato and eating it with the ricotta was refreshing yet savory, and it paired well with the marinated ribs too. Having a salad like this at a BBQ restaurant made the menu feel a bit more special.
How do the 2 servings of pork galbi and 1 serving of LA galbi taste?
And now, finally, the main event!

Seeing the meat piled generously on the plate got the kids excited right away. The pork galbi was well-marinated, and grilling it over charcoal brought out a sweet, savory aroma that made me crave rice immediately.
Put a well-grilled piece of meat on a lettuce leaf, add onion and garlic, and take a bite! That's the real way to enjoy galbi — wrapped in lettuce.

The LA galbi had its own charm, different from the pork galbi. Rather than eating just one type of meat the whole time, being able to alternate between the two made me glad we'd ordered the signature set.
It's great to visit with kids since the marinated meat isn't spicy, and the adults were satisfied wrapping it with lettuce too. That's why I think this menu combination works well when looking for a restaurant to take your parents to in Bucheon or Siheung — almost everyone there that day seemed to be dining with their parents.
Doenjang jjigae to round out the grilled meat
It'd be a shame to just stop after the meat. Koreans need that hot doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew)!

The doenjang jjigae, packed with tofu, vegetables, and meat, paired perfectly with rice as a way to wrap up the meal after the BBQ. Scooping up tofu and broth together with a spoon felt satisfying and comforting.
Finishing with bibim naengmyeon
Even though we were pretty full, I couldn't give up naengmyeon (cold noodles) on a galbi day, so we added bibim naengmyeon too.

After the sweet marinated ribs, the tangy and spicy bibim naengmyeon cleaned the palate perfectly — what a combo! I'd also recommend putting a piece of galbi on top of the noodles and eating them together.

From pork galbi and LA galbi to salad, doenjang jjigae, and bibim naengmyeon, it was a truly complete family meal.

Why Gyesu Garden works for a meal out with kids and parents
What I liked about Gyesu Garden is that you're not limited to just one dish — you can enjoy a variety of menu items together. It seemed like a place that suits both family outings with kids and BBQ trips with parents.

If you're looking for a good restaurant, a pork galbi spot, or a family dining place in Siheung's Eungye district, give Gyesu Garden a try. Add the salad, doenjang jjigae, and bibim naengmyeon to the signature set like we did, and you'll enjoy a pretty hearty meal.
