Seongsu café with Mom for chocolate ribbon croissant: LOOOP Bakery
In short
LOOOP Bakery (LOOOP 루프) is a large bakery café on Yeonmujang 5-gil near Seongsu Station Exit 4 in Seoul, spread over the 1st to 3rd floors plus a rooftop. On a Seongsu outing with Mom before lunch, the writer sat on the LOOOP Bakery rooftop with a chocolate ribbon croissant, an Americano and the new lemonicano (lemon Americano), and even Mom, who usually drinks her coffee weak, enjoyed the lemonicano. LOOOP Bakery is a big café worth adding to a Seongsu date course with plenty to look around.

I went to Seongsu on a date with my mom and was looking for a café to drop into before lunch. That's how I found LOOOP Bakery (LOOOP 루프)! The facade looks like a gift box wrapped in a giant red ribbon, and it caught my eye from far away haha. There's a wide variety of baked goods, plus a rooftop and photo spots, so Mom and I had a relaxed look around~

A big Seongsu café you can't miss: LOOOP Bakery's exterior and breads
LOOOP Bakery is a white building wrapped in a huge red ribbon, so it's easy to spot from a distance on Yeonmujang street in Seongsu. The exterior was quite striking, and lots of people were taking photos in front of the ribbon.
Inside, as you'd expect from a Seongsu bakery café, the breads are the first thing you see. There was a good variety: salt bread, cookies, cakes, croissants, and even vegan bakery items.

How many floors does LOOOP Bakery have? From 1F to the rooftop

The first floor was crowded, and the weather was lovely, so we grabbed a spot on the rooftop!

On a cool day, having a coffee outside on the LOOOP rooftop is just perfect~~

Unstaffed self-photo studio on the 3rd floor
The 3rd floor of LOOOP has an unmanned self-studio with detailed instructions, so it was a nice place to take photos too.

What Mom and I ordered before lunch
Since it was before a meal, we kept it simple: a chocolate ribbon croissant (₩8,000), an Americano (₩6,000) and a lemonicano (₩7,000)! There were so many breads that I couldn't decide, but I picked the chocolate ribbon croissant because the ribbon shape is so cute haha.
How does LOOOP's chocolate ribbon croissant taste?

The LOOOP chocolate ribbon croissant was crisp outside, with nicely defined layers inside. The butter flavor came through quite well, and the chocolate cream inside was way more delicious than I expected!!! T_T

The sweet chocolate cream with the croissant went really well with the Americano.
The new lemonicano: do lemon and espresso go together?
The LOOOP lemonicano is a new menu item made with a lemon base and espresso, and it was the one I was most curious about this time. At first I wondered if it would really work, you know?
But the fresh, sweet lemon and the espresso went together better than I expected. My mom, who always drinks her coffee weak because she finds it bitter, said it was delicious and drank it happily haha. If you're curious about something different from a plain Americano, it's worth a try.
Before you visit LOOOP Bakery: location, parking and bread times

- Hours: daily 09:00-19:00
- Fee: ₩250 per 5 minutes, ₩3,000 per hour
LOOOP's breads come out in stages starting from 12:00, so if you want to see a wide variety, I'd recommend visiting in the afternoon~! It also stays open until 2 a.m., which is good to know when you're looking for a late-night café in Seongsu haha.

Verdict: a big Seongsu café worth a stop on a day out with Mom

To me, LOOOP was a Seongsu café with lots to look at: a cute exterior, a wide range of baked goods, a rooftop and photo spots. I recommend it if you're looking for a Seongsu café with lots of desserts, or a big café to drop into on a Seongsu date!
