In short
Galbi Yechan Namyangju Jinjeop Branch is a pork rib barbecue restaurant near Onam Station in Namyangju, Gyeonggi. My boyfriend and I stopped by Galbi Yechan Namyangju Jinjeop Branch (갈비예찬 남양주진접점) for pork ribs during a drive to Namyangju. At the time of our visit, there was a promotion that provided extra meat when you ordered for the number of diners, so we ordered two servings and received one more.

Was parking and group dining convenient near Onam Station?
The restaurant is near Onam Station, on the first floor at 8-12 Haemilyedang 1-ro, Jinjeop-eup, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do. The original post lists its hours as 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM daily, with last orders at 8:30 PM. Company dinners and group gatherings were listed as requiring separate inquiries.
I made a reservation for 1 PM. There were many cars in the lot, but it was spacious, so I was able to park right away.

The interior had a warm, familiar atmosphere that made it easy to relax over a meal. The restaurant was spacious and also had separate areas, so I thought it would work well for family meals or group gatherings.

What were the menu prices and conditions for the extra meat?

At the time of our visit, you could receive complimentary meat by ordering meat for the number of diners. We ordered two servings of marinated pork and received one extra serving. The original post says that two extra servings were provided from four servings, three from six servings, and four from eight servings. Guests aged 5 and over were included in the headcount, while children aged 4 and under were excluded.
- Marinated pork: ₩20,000 per serving; ordered two servings
- Yechan doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew): ₩3,000
- Bomb steamed egg: ₩5,000
- Dessert mul-naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles in broth): ₩7,000
What were the basic side dishes and self-service bar like?
The staff brought the basic table setting, while additional side dishes could be picked up from the self-service bar. It was neatly organized, and the locations of the prepared side dishes were marked, so it was easy to use. The basic dishes included black sesame salad, fresh lettuce geotjeori (lightly seasoned salad), yuzu lotus root, marinated raw crab, pickled garlic scapes, ssamjang (seasoned dipping paste), garlic, and barley doenjang.

I started with the salad and geotjeori. The black sesame salad had plenty of dressing and was sweet and nutty, while the lettuce geotjeori was fresh and tangy.

The marinated raw crab had a rich sauce and plenty of meat. I had not planned to have rice at first, but I added a bowl of rice to eat with the crab.

When I ordered a drink, a staff member first asked whether I needed an ice cup. When I said yes, they brought a chilled cup with a thin layer of ice, so I could enjoy my soda cold.
How sweet and tender were the marinated pork ribs?
The marinated pork ribs arrived. With the extra serving from the promotion, it felt like a generous amount for two people.

We started grilling the meat.

Once cooked, the ribs were juicy, and the marinade was neither overly sweet nor overpowering. The sweet-savory marinade had soaked well into the scored meat, and when I ate it, it was tender, without toughness or any unpleasant odor.

The ribs paired well with pickled onions. I also tried them with ssamjang and barley doenjang, but I especially liked them with the pickled onions or dipped in the barley doenjang.

We finished every last bit, including the extra meat we received.

What were the doenjang-jjigae, steamed egg, and dessert mul-naengmyeon like?
While we grilled the meat, the Yechan doenjang-jjigae and bomb steamed egg arrived. The savory aroma of the stew came through first, and it contained enoki mushrooms and soft tofu, making it good with rice. The bomb steamed egg was generously portioned, fluffy, and soft.
Even though I was full, I also ordered the dessert mul-naengmyeon to eat with the ribs. It was a dessert menu item, but the portion still felt generous.

I finished the meal with tender ribs and mul-naengmyeon. The large parking lot made it convenient to stop by by car, and the staff were attentive, so I had a pleasant meal.
