Dance Dance Dance Hannam: the Hannam-dong sandwich shop I finally made time for

Have you heard of Dance Dance Dance, a sandwich spot in Hannam-dong? I drive past Hannam Five-Way Intersection a lot, and since I love sandwiches so much, this place always caught my eye. This time I finally made a point of visiting.

I got there around 7pm, close to closing time, and there were already a lot of customers inside. Quite a few people were picking up takeout even that late — me included.

How to order at Dance Dance Dance Hannam and what the shop is like

These days a lot of shops offer discounts if you show proof of a run, and Dance Dance Dance seems to be one of them. I run pretty regularly myself, but I always head straight home after a solo run, so I've never gotten to use a perk like that — a bit of a shame.

Walking inside, there was a kiosk where you place your order.

Next to the kiosk, bottles of Dance Dance Dance cold brew were lined up in rows. I ended up buying and trying one myself, haha.

The interior was clean and stylish.

They also seemed to be selling various branded goods.

I really agonized over what to order — so what did I end up getting?

As soon as you order, they get busy making the baguette.

The store was so clean it really gave me confidence and peace of mind as a customer :)

Why the chocolate baguette got skipped: a 10-minute wait

By the time I left, it was nearly closing time, but customers were still coming in for takeout. What I regretted was really wanting to try the chocolate baguette, but since it takes over 10 minutes to get, I had to pass. (My baby was waiting in the car with my husband.)

So what did I end up buying?

Pistachio tofu cream cheese baguette: light, nutty and not too sweet

First, the Dance Dance Dance cold brew. I don't usually drink iced Americanos, but this one just looked like something I had to try, so I added it to my order.

First up, the pistachio tofu cream cheese baguette. This one was so plain yet delicious. Literally just tofu cream cheese spread between baguette bread with nothing else added, which could easily feel bare. But true to Hannam's reputation for great sandwiches, it was so nutty and delicious. I'm someone who loves pistachio, tofu, and cream cheese to begin with, and I feel like a lot of people with similar tastes would agree — you really have to try this tofu cream cheese baguette.

Sounds like nothing special, right? It's. So. Good. Since I got it as takeout in the evening, I couldn't fully enjoy it with coffee — I bet it would've been amazing with a hot Americano, and I was sorry I couldn't manage that.

Pollock roe baguette reheated in an air fryer for 5 minutes the next day

Second was the pollock roe baguette. Honestly, anything with pollock roe (myeongnan) can't be bad. I tried it both cold and warm, and it was delicious either way.

I ate the pollock roe baguette the next morning. (I only ordered two baguettes total, but even split between two people it was plenty.) I reheated it in the air fryer for about 5 minutes, and it tasted just like freshly baked bread. You really don't have to eat it the same day — try reheating a pollock roe baguette in the air fryer the next day too. Anyone who truly appreciates food knows everything tastes better warm, right?

How is the Dance Dance Dance cold brew?

Honestly, I'm not usually a fan of cold brew coffee — if you've had it, you know it has that distinct flavor. But the cold brew at Dance Dance Dance, this Hannam sandwich favorite, was really enjoyable.
