Family-friendly Korean BBQ buffet with self-bar in Dangjin: Myeongnyun
In short
Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi Branch is an all-you-can-eat charcoal pork galbi (Korean BBQ ribs) restaurant on Seohae-ro in Dangjin, Chungnam. The writer visited with two kids, alternated between seasoned galbi and pork belly, and made good use of the self-bar's japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), gondeure bap (wild greens rice), and jellies. With rice and side dishes all covered, it was a satisfying spot for a family meal out with children.

When you're eating out with kids, you can't just go by the adults' taste, right?
The meat has to be good, but there also needs to be rice and side dishes the kids will eat, and the place shouldn't be too uncomfortable — turns out there are more conditions than you'd think. This time we went to Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi Branch. I want to tell everyone looking for a good restaurant in Dangjin, or searching for Korean BBQ recommendations in Dangjin, about this all-you-can-eat spot.

Location and parking at Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi Branch
Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi Branch is on the 2nd floor at 6275 Seohae-ro, Dangjin-si, Chungcheongnam-do.
I was looking for a good Korean BBQ place in Dangjin for a family meal and ended up here — the restaurant is spacious and the menu is varied, so it worked well with kids. The parking lot is also huge, haha! With plenty of meat options and self-bar dishes kids can eat, it was easy to recommend as a good restaurant in Dangjin.
All-you-can-eat, but with a surprisingly varied menu
Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi Branch serves everything from charcoal-grilled pork galbi to pork belly, dak-galbi (spicy chicken), pork skin, whole rib French rack, and pork neck. This time we mainly ate galbi and pork belly.

Honestly, with kids around, seasoned galbi is always the safest bet. The sweet-salty sauce goes well with rice, and after one bite the kids kept asking for more. My kids in particular are absolute killers when it comes to japchae and galbi, and they really ate well that day.

Seasoned galbi never fails with kids' taste buds
When you think of Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi, seasoned galbi is the first thing that comes to mind. Grilled over charcoal, the aroma of the sauce rises up and makes it taste even better.
Sometimes galbi is too tough or over-seasoned and kids won't eat it, but here it's sweet without being too much, so it went perfectly with rice. My kids kept picking up piece after piece, and I thought — this is a good enough recommendation for a Korean BBQ place in Dangjin to go to with kids.
The pork belly is also nutty and delicious
It felt like a waste to eat only galbi, so we grilled some pork belly too, and it was better than I expected.

Grilled over charcoal, the outside turns golden brown with a nutty flavor, making it good to switch to in between bites of galbi. Personally I love alternating between galbi and pork belly. Sweet with the seasoned galbi, then nutty with the pork belly — it kept things from getting boring, and I just kept eating. If you're looking for an all-you-can-eat restaurant in Dangjin, don't just stick to galbi — make sure to try the pork belly too.

The self-bar is great to visit with kids
When you go to a Korean BBQ place with kids, it's so much easier if there's something for them to eat while the meat is grilling. Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi Branch has a really well-stocked self-bar. It's so varied, haha!

There's japchae, rice, and other menu items kids like, so it was easy to take care of them even before the meat was done. My kids ate the japchae really well, and giving them galbi with rice made it feel like a proper full meal.

There were also jellies, which the kids loved after eating. These little touches made it feel like a good restaurant in Dangjin to bring kids to. We ordered this one — the price was reasonable!

Having rice makes the meal more filling
Adults can just eat meat, but kids really need rice too. Having rice ready at the self-bar made it easy to feed them alongside the galbi. When I cut off a piece of galbi and put it on top of the rice, the kids really dug in. There was gondeure bap (wild greens rice) and plain rice!
At a Korean BBQ place, adults can get by on just meat, but for kids, having rice, side dishes, and simple menu items nearby makes eating out so much easier — and that's exactly what I liked about Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi Branch.
A satisfying family meal out
We visited with our kids, and overall the atmosphere was good for a family meal. With so many types of meat, the adults were satisfied too, and with japchae, rice, and jellies that kids like, they didn't get bored and ate well. Being all-you-can-eat also meant we didn't have to worry about portions, and since we mainly ate galbi and pork belly, and both were delicious, we were satisfied.

For anyone who considers being kid-friendly important when recommending a Korean BBQ place in Dangjin, this could be a good option.
Unlimited draft beer for ₩4,900 too
Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi Branch also offers unlimited draft beer as an extra-charge item, priced like a single glass. It's unlimited for ₩4,900, and it's really tasty!
If you're into the meat-and-draft-beer combo, you'll probably be happy with this too.

If you're visiting with friends or family, adding draft beer would be nice too. It also seemed like a good spot for company dinners or group gatherings. There were really so many people!!

Time limits and pricing to note
The all-you-can-eat time limit was listed as 120 minutes on weekdays and 100 minutes on weekends and holidays. The price for the Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi all-you-can-eat option is ₩21,900 for adults, and there's also a lunch special. The lunch special comes with soybean paste stew or kimchi stew, or bibim or mul naengmyeon, making it a good option to drop by for a simple lunch too.

If price and menu composition matter when looking for a good restaurant in Dangjin, this info is worth keeping in mind.
My honest impressions after trying it
Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi Branch was a great all-you-can-eat spot in Dangjin to visit with kids.
We mainly ate galbi and pork belly — the kids really enjoyed the galbi, and the pork belly's nutty flavor suited adult tastes too.

I especially liked that there was japchae, rice, and jellies, so there was plenty to feed the kids too. It wasn't just an all-you-can-eat place with meat — the whole setup made for a comfortable family meal out. It was so delicious that I'll probably think of it again next time I want Korean BBQ around Dangjin.
Who I'd recommend this to
I'd recommend Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi Branch to anyone looking for a good restaurant in Dangjin. It would suit those looking for a Korean BBQ place in Dangjin to bring kids to, those who want to eat plenty of galbi and pork belly, and those looking for an all-you-can-eat spot in Dangjin with a solid self-bar. Make sure you try the kimchi stew too, everyone, haha — it's only ₩3,000 and so good.
In particular, it was a satisfying family dining spot because the kids could enjoy japchae, rice, and jellies alongside the meat. I loved the galbi-and-pork-belly combo, and the kids ate well too, so it was a Korean BBQ place in Dangjin I came away from feeling great about.
