There are really lots of families here on weekends and in the evenings too. Best of all, you can have charcoal-scented galbi as an all-you-can-eat meal! It is the kind of lineup meat lovers cannot help but enjoy, which is probably why it has remained such a beloved galbi restaurant in Dangjin, haha.

The galbi did not disappoint on this visit either!!! Grilling the ribs, nicely soaked in that sweet-and-salty marinade, over charcoal really showed off Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi's own charm >_< But something else caught my eye that day😙

It was the charcoal-grilled whole makchang (beef large intestine)! I grabbed some as soon as I spotted it at the meat station, and it was so wonderfully chewy and delicious!!!!!!!!! My dining partner was busily eating galbi, while I kept inhaling makchang that day, haha. I also loved being able to eat as much as I wanted without feeling self-conscious, since it is all-you-can-eat😍

The great thing about Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi is that it is not just the meat that tastes good!!!! The salad bar is packed with options too, and I found a menu item I had never seen before this time: bún chả (Vietnamese grilled meat with rice noodles)!

At first, it was a little surprising to see bún chả at an all-you-can-eat galbi restaurant, but once I tried it, it worked unexpectedly well. Eating charcoal-grilled galbi with the vegetables made for a different flavor and cut through the richness too, haha. Galbi and bún chả—who knew it would be so much better than I expected? Saved as a must-order for next time!!!

How to make Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi makchang even tastier

Whenever I go to Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi, I always make my own little secret recipe... a makjang dipping sauce!

• First, finely chop the green onions from the shredded scallion salad.
• Then mix ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste) and cider soda at roughly a 2-to-1 ratio.
• If it is too thin, simply add a little more ssamjang. And your easy makjang is done!

Dipping charcoal-grilled whole makchang into this makjang is seriously delicious ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ It is sweet with lots of savory depth, so I just kept eating makchang, haha. If you love makchang, you really have to make this makjang and try it!
