Today my boyfriend and I went running and then bolted straight to meat, hahaha. This is Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch! Gotta refuel that protein after working out, right...ㅎㅎ

I'd been craving dwitgogi (pork off-cuts) for a while, and it turned out they were running a 2nd-anniversary event from late July through late August. For a couple who loves drinking like us, that was just one more reason we had to go. 🍻

Where is Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch, and when is it open?

Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch is located across from the Busan Red Cross Hall.

It's only about a 150m walk from Bujeon Station exit 2, so it's pretty convenient if you're coming by public transit! There were even chairs set up near the entrance for waiting.

Open daily 15:00 - 24:00. Good for a dinner like ours, and also solid for bigger group gatherings — a real Jeonpo BBQ spot worth knowing about.

The 2nd-anniversary free drink at Dwitdon Sanghoe

Right from the entrance there's a banner announcing that for their 2nd anniversary, they're giving one bottle of soju OR one bottle of beer OR two soft drinks per table, on the house. Wait, we came for meat and now we get free drinks too...

My boyfriend and I immediately said "we came to the right place," hahaha. And if you make a Naver reservation before visiting, you get a doenjang sulbap coupon, plus signing up for notifications gets you a bomb egg custard coupon — definitely grab both if you're headed there!

A big dining room that fits group dinners

Going in, the seating was bigger than expected. Tables weren't cramped and there was plenty of room for larger groups, so I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a company dinner or group gathering spot.

Especially since the prices aren't intimidating, the more people you bring, the better the deal feels — total Jeonpo-dong BBQ vibes. At group dinners, meat prices alone are one thing, but drink prices sneak up on you too, hahaha. Here, though, soju and beer prices are reasonable too, so it really seemed like a great group-dinner spot.

Rare pork cuts and unlimited tofu kimchi at the self bar

On one wall there was an explanation of the special dwitgogi cuts. If you usually just stick to pork belly, this might be a good chance to try a special cut. There was also a self-bar set up separately, and even the tofu kimchi that comes as a standard side was unlimited refill.

But us... so much meat and side dishes came out from the start that we never even got around to a refill, hahaha. Our stomachs were too busy, in a good way.

What two people ordered at Dwitdon Sanghoe, and what it cost

The two of us ordered the Dwitdon Samgyeop Set B at 34.0. It's made up of kkotsamgyeop-daepae, myeongpum samgyeopsal, and dondu-samgyeop, 500g total! Isn't ₩34,000 for 500g actually really cheap...?

On top of that we ordered the dorae-chang I'd always been curious about at 6.0, doenjang sulbap at 7.0, soju at 3.9, beer at 3.9. Plus a soft drink at 2.0! If you're visiting as a couple, Set B or the half-pig set would be just about right.

How big is the 500g Samgyeop Set B?

When the meat came out, it was like "whoa...?" The portion was way bigger than expected, hahaha. You could tell right away it was really the full 500g. For this price with this much food, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great pork belly spot in Jeonpo.

Bibim noodles as a free side dish?

And here... bibim noodles (spicy mixed noodles) come as a side dish. Amazing. Not even something you order separately at a BBQ place — it just comes standard, hahaha.

Bibim noodles served as a standard side dish

Grill a piece of pork belly and eat it with the bibim noodles and that's really all that needs to be said!! And above all, the owner was incredibly, incredibly kind. Sponsorship aside, this is the kind of place I'd come back to just for the owner, hahaha. I'm definitely going again...

Charcoal-grilled pork belly at this price?

Next they brought out the myeongpum samgyeopsal and dondu-samgyeop. One thing I really liked here: it's not gas, it's charcoal. Meat really needs to be grilled over charcoal to get that distinctive aroma. Even my dad quietly checks whether a place uses charcoal or not when we go for BBQ, and finding a charcoal place with prices like this... it's genuinely a precious find in Jeonpo BBQ, hahaha.

The myeongpum samgyeopsal was thick, so it was nice and juicy, and when we were too hungry and wanted to eat fast, throwing on the dondu-samgyeop first meant it cooked quickly — great for eating fast, hahaha.

What the premium pork belly looks like on the grill

The thick-cut myeongpum samgyeop looked absolutely insane as it browned over the charcoal. The outside got crispy while the inside stayed juicy, so it was delicious even with just a light dip in salt.

If you love pork belly, one bite here and you'll immediately understand why this is a go-to samgyeopsal spot in Jeonpo, haha.

Soju and beer for 3,900 won, plus Hanmac 1+1

Looking at the menu, I was surprised again. They're currently running Hanmac 1+1 and Cass Lemon Zero 1+1 too! Highball is also 5.0, and soju/beer including Chamisul is 3.9. Given how prices are these days, this place is genuinely a rare find...

Ah... so good, hahaha. We ended up adding a Hanmac 1+1 order too, and the owner didn't just hand over both bottles at once — he gave us one first, and then thoughtfully brought the second right as we were finishing it. You know how those small touches just make you happy, right?

Tasting dorae-chang for the first time

And the dorae-chang I'd always been curious about from watching YouTube!! Finally got to try it, hahaha. Grilled golden-brown over the charcoal, it had way less of that gamey smell than I expected, and the savory fat flavor was genuinely great.

A plate of charcoal-grilled dorae-chang

There's a slightly chewy, fatty savoriness that really comes through! If you're trying special cuts for the first time, dorae-chang is one worth adding at least once.

A free egg custard from the next table

And the funniest thing that happened that day — a cheerful owner-type at the next table suddenly said we made a great couple and ordered egg custard sent over to our table. I mean, does that even happen?

Egg custard gifted by a neighboring table

Thanks to that, we ended up chatting and laughing for a while about daughters-in-law and dads, haha. That's the warm, neighborhood-BBQ-joint atmosphere for you. The customers were fun and the owner was kind, so the overall vibe was really great. This is why, when I'm looking for a great Jeonpo-dong BBQ spot, I care about atmosphere just as much as taste!

Why the doenjang sulbap is a must-order

Last up, doenjang sulbap (soybean paste rice)! You really have to order this. The rice wasn't the kind that turns mushy or porridge-like too fast — it kept some texture until the end, and it had plenty of tofu and a good amount of meat in it too.

Doenjang sulbap with tofu and meat mixed in

It's the kind of taste that's great to keep spooning up while sipping a drink. Especially after eating meat, when you want something slightly spicy and savory to finish, ordering a doenjang sulbap is the perfect way to end. And since it can come as a Naver reservation coupon, definitely grab that if you book ahead!

Final verdict on Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Final shot of the finished charcoal pork belly meal at Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch

We came in starving after a run, and everything — the amount of meat, the price, the charcoal, the side dishes, the drink prices — was satisfying overall. Especially with the 500g samgyeop set at ₩34,000, being able to grill it yourself over real charcoal is a huge plus for the value.

On top of that, the side dish lineup with bibim noodles and tofu kimchi was solid, and the owner was so kind that we left in a great mood, haha. If you're looking for a great Jeonpo BBQ restaurant, a good-value samgyeopsal spot in Jeonpo, or a Jeonpo-dong BBQ place for a group visit, I'd recommend Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch! Especially for anyone looking for a group dinner spot — the prices aren't too heavy and the seating is spacious, so it's worth considering.

As for us... between the dorae-chang and the doenjang sulbap, we fully recharged every calorie we burned running, hahaha. But hey, if it's delicious, that's all that matters. 😎
