Sharing a Busan BBQ spot worth lining up for — one of Seomyeon's waitlist-worthy meat restaurants.

I've been craving meat lately. Not just dry, boring pork belly — I wanted the real deal, juice running everywhere. Dwaejinamu Sarang Geollyeone Seomyeon Main Branch is one of Seomyeon's famous waitlist restaurants, and it's easy to get to near Seomyeon Station.
Where is Dwaejinamu Sarang Geollyeone Seomyeon Main Branch, and how far is it from Seomyeon Station?
Dwaejinamu Sarang Geollyeone Seomyeon Main Branch is very close to Seomyeon Station. Just head toward the meat alley from Exit 12.

If you see a little crowd sitting shoulder to shoulder on chairs out front waiting for a table — that's the place!
What's on the menu? Galmaegisal and gochujang pork belly
The menu at Dwaejinamu Sarang Geollyeone is led by gamjagisal, alongside gochujang pork belly. The gochujang pork belly is seasoned with good ingredients, comes in a spicy version, and you can choose your spice level.

There's plain gamjagisal, seasoned gamjagisal, and — the highlight of this place — gamjagisal wrapped around green onion!! You have to try this one.

Meat can only be ordered from 3 servings up (pork skin excluded). It comes pre-grilled once, so you can dig in right away!!
How long is the Saturday evening wait?
At Dwaejinamu Sarang Geollyeone Seomyeon Main Branch, we waited about an hour on a Saturday evening slot. Finally, we got seated. Seriously, put your name on the waitlist the moment you arrive, T_T. Get on the list first, then go explore Seomyeon while you wait!!

We ordered gamjagisal, seasoned gamjagisal, and gochujang pork belly. We went with the spicy version of the gochujang pork belly. I really wanted the green-onion-wrapped gamjagisal but it was sold out, T_T.

For dessert, I'd also recommend the mini doenjang jjigae. You always hesitate to finish with stew because you're already stuffed from the meat — but this size and price make it a no-brainer. Being able to have it in a mini size was really nice.
The staff were super kind. They answered right away and handled every request. Lots of local regulars too. When the neighborhood locals vouch for it, you know the food's legit!!
How does the galmaegisal taste?
The gamjagisal at Dwaejinamu Sarang Geollyeone bursts with juice the moment you bite into it — genuinely delicious. The meat itself is chewy yet tender, so you never get that tough feeling, just keep eating. Really good meat, worth the wait.

The parts that got nicely browned on the grill had a slightly crisp texture too, which was totally my thing. There's a subtle smoky char on the meat, so even dipped in just a bit of salt, the flavor was spot on.

Seasoned galmaegisal
The seasoned gamjagisal in particular stood out visually from the start. Eating gamjagisal with the seasoning it comes with is genuinely delicious. You get the rich flavor of the meat itself along with it, so I kept reaching for more. If it's your first visit, definitely try this one.

Spicy gochujang pork belly
We ordered the gochujang pork belly spicy, and the heat hits the moment you take a bite. The seasoning really soaks into the meat, so the more you chew, the saltier and spicier it gets — total rice-thief territory. If you like spicy, this one's recommended too.
Having a bit of spice mixed in while eating meat kept things from feeling greasy, so I could keep going. Eating all three dishes together meant each had its own distinct flavor, which made it fun to pick between them. Personally, the whole-green-onion gamjagisal stuck with me the most, and the gochujang pork belly was great to snack on in between for its spiciness.

Finishing with mini doenjang jjigae
To finish, we had the mini doenjang jjigae, and a hot spoonful after all that meat hit the spot perfectly. Since it comes in a not-too-heavy mini size, it was manageable even while full, as a finishing touch. If you want to eat serious BBQ in Seomyeon, it's worth visiting even if it means waiting.
They also serve plum juice for dessert. Especially on weekend evenings there are a lot of people, so I'd recommend putting your name on the waitlist the moment you arrive. While you wait, go explore Seomyeon and come back — no time wasted. If you love meat that bursts with juice, this place is legit good.
