Seongbok-dong noodle restaurant with a 3-year-old: udon and jjolmyeon
In short
Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch is a noodle restaurant on the 1st floor of Seohui Star Hills in Seongbok-dong, Suji-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi. Three adults and a three-year-old came for a weekend dinner and shared jjolmyeon (spicy chewy noodles), a makguksu (cold buckwheat noodle) set with pork cutlet, and udon, and the restaurant served a small bowl of rice and morning bread with strawberry jam for the child free of charge. The tangy, spicy jjolmyeon suited the summer heat best, while the udon was the clear favourite with the toddler.

Last weekend I visited Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch with my family. We came as three adults plus one kid, and since the menu is so varied, it was great for sharing a bunch of different dishes.
I thought a noodle place would just mean a handful of noodle types, but the menu range was really wide — jjolmyeon, udon, buckwheat, pork cutlet, tteokbokki, even bibimbap. We ordered jjolmyeon, a makguksu set (with pork cutlet), and udon. Honestly everything was good, but the one that stuck with me most was the jjolmyeon! It really suited the summer weather, and of course my kid ate the udon the best out of everything hahaha.
Where is Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch, and where do you park?

Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch is located at 1st floor, unit 104, Seohui Star Hills, 80 Seongbok 1-ro, Suji-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. It's open 11:00–21:00 (last order 20:30), and underground parking is available.
The restaurant is on the 1st floor and you can use the underground parking, which made it easy to drive over. In the Suji area, if parking is awkward when you're bringing a kid, even a delicious place isn't easy to revisit — but here that wasn't an issue at all.

If you visit during peak hours, you'll need to register for the waitlist on Catch Table — we arrived around 6pm on a weekend evening and seats were already filling up fast.

Inside, the space had a clean white-and-wood atmosphere with quite a lot of tables. There were a lot of families around too!
Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch menu and prices

Chilseong Jemyeonso really has a huge menu 😮 Some highlights:
- Fresh noodle soup ₩8,500
- Daegu Bukseong-ro udon ₩8,500
- Chilseong bibim jjolmyeon ₩9,500
- Perilla oil buckwheat soba ₩10,000
- Mazesoba udon ₩12,500
- 100% domestic pork loin cutlet ₩13,500
and more. If you order a set menu, the noodles come with things like pork cutlet, making the meal much more filling.
That day we ordered ✔ jjolmyeon ✔ makguksu set + pork cutlet ✔ udon, and shared all three. It was a good combination for three adults and one kid to each try a bit of everything.
Why this Seongbok-dong noodle restaurant suits a group with different tastes
The strength of Chilseong Jemyeonso is really the huge range of choices 🧡🧡🧡🧡 Someone wants spicy jjolmyeon, someone wants warm udon, someone else wants pork cutlet too — this one place covers it all lol.
With jjolmyeon, buckwheat, udon, fresh noodle soup, pork cutlet, tteokbokki, and even bibimbap, there's little chance of clashing preferences even with a group. I could see exactly why there were so many families there.

The makguksu set with pork cutlet
The makguksu set doesn't just come with noodles — it comes with pork cutlet too, so it felt really filling. Some people feel like just noodles alone is a bit lacking; ordering the set gets you crispy pork cutlet on the side too, which was much more satisfying. The makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles) was refreshingly cold, and the noodles held their chewy texture without going soft.

And the pork cutlet that came with it was better than expected. It wasn't some afterthought side dish thrown together carelessly — it was crispy outside, tender inside, and good to eat alongside the noodles. It was also easy to cut small pieces for my kid. If you want both noodles and pork cutlet, I think the set will satisfy you more than ordering a single item.

Jjolmyeon: the best match for a summer evening
Of everything we ate that day, jjolmyeon was my favorite. Maybe because it's summer, I was especially craving something cold, tangy, and spicy, and one bite in I thought, I'm so glad we ordered this hahaha.
The chewy noodles were well coated in sauce, with a tangy-spicy flavor that hit right away without being overly harsh. On a hot day, this kind of jjolmyeon really goes down easier than a hot noodle soup. Eating it with the crunchy vegetables gave it good texture, and I kept reaching for more with my chopsticks.

Everything else was good too, but if I go back, I'd order the jjolmyeon again first lol. Definitely my number one pick for a summer dish!

Udon, the toddler's favourite
For our kid, udon was by far the easiest choice. The warm broth and soft noodles made it easy for our three-year-old to eat without any trouble, and out of the three dishes, my kid ate the udon by far the most lol. Eating out with a toddler is tricky because you need something the adults want and something the kid can eat, but here that balance was easy.

The adults can have the spicy jjolmyeon or makguksu while the kid has udon — it was a perfect combination. With pork cutlet on top of the noodle options, it looked easy to pick something suited to a kid's taste too.
Eating out with a toddler: the free kids' rice and bread

They have separate baby tableware ready, and you can freely grab any bowls or utensils you need from the self-serve zone, which was convenient. On top of that, the baby rice bowl and morning bread with strawberry jam were free?!?
We grabbed the morning bread just in case, and sure enough our kid got hooked on the strawberry jam and focused more on the bread than the udon lol. Still, udon was what our kid ate the best, and with the baby chair, tableware, and free baby menu items, this was a great restaurant to bring a child to. 👍🏻
Final verdict on Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch
Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch was easy for our group of four — three adults and one kid — to eat together comfortably. With such a wide menu and even a baby chair and kids' tableware ready, it was solid for a meal out with a child.
The jjolmyeon, makguksu set, and udon we ordered were all delicious, but personally the jjolmyeon stuck with me the most!! Tangy, spicy, and chewy — a flavor that really suits summer. The makguksu set was filling with the pork cutlet included, and the udon went over so well with our kid that I think we'd order it again next time too haha.
If you're looking for a good restaurant to visit with a kid in Suji or Seongbok-dong, or craving a cold noodle dish in summer, this place is worth a visit➰
