Overview of a brunch table at Greveur Gwangjang Main Branch

My husband and I both took the day off on a weekday, sent our kid to school, relaxed for a bit, and then went out for brunch. That happy sense of leisure hit its peak at Greveur 😽

Normally, once I send my kid off, the morning flies by with housework and errands, but this time I decided — let's just rest!!!!!!! We hadn't had a relaxed brunch together in a while, so we made a date of it 😊🫠

Weekday 11am at Greveur Gwangjang: how busy it is and how to order

We visited around 11am, and being a weekday morning, the place had a nice, quiet atmosphere. The interior was relaxed and fresh, and the open kitchen really highlighted how clean the place was.

We weren't off on some faraway trip, but eating leisurely in a different atmosphere than usual gave me a small dose of happiness 😗☺️

Each table has its own tablet for ordering, which was very convenient.

The three brunch dishes we ordered at Greveur Gwangjang

  • Salted Cream French Toast — ₩14,000
  • Tomato Ragu Stew & Poached Egg — ₩16,000
  • Sicilian Lemon Shrimp Aglio Olio Pasta — ₩19,000
The three ordered brunch dishes laid out on the table

Sicilian lemon shrimp aglio olio pasta, 19,000 won

The Sicilian Lemon Shrimp Aglio Olio Pasta is ₩19,000. It's an oil pasta with shrimp, brightened up with fresh lemon aroma. It has that savory, nutty flavor typical of oil pasta, but the lemon made it cleaner and fresher than I expected.

The shrimp added savory depth too, and out of the three dishes, this one felt the lightest to eat.

My husband especially loved it, saying it tasted really upscale haha. Since we were both off on a weekday, it made our relaxed, giggly brunch time even richer.

There was plenty of shrimp, and from the way the noodles were cooked to the light yet savory, upscale finish... I recommend it.

A plate of tomato ragu stew with poached egg and bread

The Tomato Ragu Stew & Poached Egg is ₩16,000. It's a poached egg served over tomato ragu stew. The tomato sauce was quite rich and deep, which made it great for spreading on bread.

Once you pop the poached egg and mix it into the stew, then spread it on bread, it adds a soft, nutty richness too.

Being a warm dish, it was hearty for brunch, and eating it alongside the French toast meant the sweet and savory flavors kept alternating — a good combo.

That rich, fresh, wholesome tomato flavor — if you added pasta to it, I feel like I could polish off three bowls ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

A spoonful of tomato ragu stew simmered with meat

The tomato ragu stew had a really rich flavor. It wasn't just the typical sharp tanginess of tomato — since it's simmered with meat as a ragu, the savory depth was overflowing!! It felt totally different from a plain tomato sauce.

The portion was just right for brunch, and eating it with bread made it more filling than I expected. It's a menu that suits a fall or winter day when you want something warm and hearty.

If you're looking for a tasty, wholesome brunch, I highly recommend this one!!!!

Salted cream French toast, 14,000 won — the favourite of the day

The Salted Cream French Toast is ₩14,000. This one was genuinely so good💘💘💘💘 Personally, my favorite dish of everything we ate that day!

The brioche was caramelized until crisp on the outside, while staying moist inside — that moist texture was really lovely.

I'd definitely recommend eating this one right when it comes out, while it's still warm.

Eating it warm makes the bread even softer and more moist, so it's much tastier. The sweet French toast comes with salted whipped cream on top, and the sweet-salty combo works really well.

The whipped cream wasn't just sweet — it had a salty edge, so eating it together with the French toast, my hand just kept reaching for moooore.

It was genuinely tastier and tastier while it was warm, so I think I'd order this again next time. It also paired really well with coffee. My intent to revisit just for this — 200000%.

The salted cream French toast was truly my favorite. That warm, moist flavor still lingers in my memory, so I'll be ordering it again on my next visit 😉😊
