Jinsim Castella tastes great no matter when you eat it, and I'd recommend it for group orders at bakeries too. It's soft enough that little kids eat it well, and older folks really enjoy it as a snack too. Of course, I'm a huge fan too hahaha.

4 sheet flavors, 8 creams, half-and-half

The bread sheets came in a variety too!! There was the basic Jinsim Castella, plus chocolate castella, mocha castella, and mugwort castella. There were even 8 kinds of cream. You can get the cream half-and-half, so you can try several kinds!

You order through the kiosk, and getting half-and-half whipped cream cost no extra >,.< You could order the giant castella for under ten thousand won~~!!

Tasting samples for receipt reviews

If you wrote a receipt review, you could get tasting samples — original, mugwort, mocha, and chocolate castella were all available, so I got to try the ones I was curious about without any pressure. Best best!

How long the castella keeps

Jinsim Castella can be kept refrigerated for up to 6 days, and frozen for as long as a month. My family loves bread so much that a whole one disappears in a day lol. Gimpo Gurae is the main branch, and apparently one opened in Geomdan too...♡

Drink menu and takeout supplies

Besides castella, they had a wide range of drinks too. Not just coffee but lots of ades and lattes as well — so many options to choose from!! Plenty of drinks kids like too.

They used to have heart-shaped chocolate too, but it seems that's gone now ㅠ. You could grab forks, knives, and wet wipes you needed. Since we were eating at home, we didn't bother taking any!

Ordering chocolate castella + fresh strawberry latte

Even the packaging is cute for Jinsim Castella. I was craving something chocolatey for once, so I ordered the chocolate castella along with a fresh strawberry latte.

Strawberry and chocolate together is the best combo >,.< no words needed.

Chocolate castella studded with chocolate chips! The basic Jinsim Castella is great too, but there are days when you just crave something extra chocolatey. On those days, I order the chocolate one.

Half whipped cream, half chocolate cream

For the chocolate castella's cream, I went half-and-half with whipped cream and chocolate cream. Whatever cream you pick at Jinsim Castella tastes good, so just go with whichever calls to you lol.. The Oreo cream is really good too — highly recommend!

The cream isn't the least bit heavy and is genuinely delicious ㅠㅠ. It's good enough that you could eat the cream alone by the spoonful, honestly.

It's not overly sweet, so you don't get sick of it — you can finish a whole tray.

My beloved chocolate chocolate~~ The chocolate whipped cream wasn't too sweet either, which I loved. Not an artificial sweetness — genuinely delicious. The kind of flavor you'd want every day ㅠㅠ (if only it didn't go straight to my hips..♡)

They gave plenty of whipped cream too, so you could slather it thick on the bread! With all that cream packed in, even though it's castella, it tastes like cake. Stick a candle in it and that's basically a cake, no!?

Parking and Naver order discount

Jinsim Castella Gimpo Gurae is so good I'd highly recommend it for group snacks. Parking gets 30 minutes free inside the building, and you can also briefly stop right in front of the store. And I just found out this time that ordering through Naver gets you a whopping 10% discount!!!!!
