The signature thick-cut pork belly is grilled directly over hardwood charcoal, and the meal came with galbi doenjang stew (soybean paste stew with beef short rib), half-and-half naengmyeon (cold noodles) and a bowl of Suhyangmi rice, with both the meat and the sides satisfying. For pork belly in Jamsil, Migang Sikdang is a place the writer would 100% go back to.

Gongdeok Korean restaurant: lunch with Dad, naengmyeon, Horangi

Daejeon hanwoo BBQ date: 1++ cow special cuts for two at Worang

Worang Myeongga Daejeon Doan Branch is a hanwoo (Korean beef) BBQ restaurant near Doan Lake Park in Seo-gu, Daejeon, that says it uses only 1++ grade hanwoo cows aged 30 to 40 months.
