Pre-wedding spa in Cheonan: trapezius and abdomen care at Esthetia

My wedding shoot is now less than two months away. Yikes!!!!!! And my body is absolutely not ready!!!

I noticed a lot of my already-married friends got wedding care before their shoot or the ceremony itself, though I'd also heard it can hurt a lot, so I was curious to try it myself.

My trapezius has always bothered me, and since I sit at a desk all day, my neck and shoulders are constantly stiff. With the shoot coming up, I figured this was the perfect excuse to finally get wedding care.

Parking and first impressions at Esthetia Cheonan Sinbuldang Branch 1

Esthetia Cheonan Buldang Branch 1 offers 3 hours of free parking in the underground lot. The spaces were wide enough that even I, a fairly new driver, had no trouble parking.

The inside of the shop was clean and well kept overall.

What does Esthetia's wedding care actually cover?

After changing into a disposable undergarment and robe in the changing room, the real care began! The program I received that day was wedding care — everything I'd been worried about, from face to neck, shoulders and trapezius, in one session.

It started with facial cleansing, then moved through the neck, shoulders, abdomen and back to the face — I honestly can't remember the exact order haha — but a few parts really stuck with me.

Honestly, the abdominal care left the biggest impression on me. My stomach is usually cold and often feels uncomfortable, and the moment the manager's hands touched it, it started growling — grrrrrrrrrr, what is happening to my stomach haha.

She worked through my abdomen really thoroughly by hand, and at the spots with more sensation than I expected, I caught myself holding my breath without realizing it. Every time, she'd guide me — breathe in now~ and out~ — walking me through the timing.

My yoga teacher always says breathing matters, and now I get why haha. Breathing along with the treatment helped me relax my body, and honestly, the abdominal care was my favorite part of the whole session.

And this was the part I was most looking forward to going in — the neck, shoulder, and trapezius care. Sitting all day for work has given me rounded shoulders, plus my neck and shoulders are always stiff. I do yoga regularly, but my shoulders still won't easily open up ㅠㅠ

But she worked through my neck, shoulders, and trapezius so thoroughly, finding every knot one by one and focusing right on it — it felt amazing. (I have a short neck, so she was basically pulling out a neck I don't even have haha.)

Even counting massages I've had while traveling abroad, this ranks among the best I've ever had, honestly haha.

I'd had abdominal care once before elsewhere, and back then the session relied more on machines than hands, which left me a little disappointed. Here at Esthetia, though, the manager spent a long time working by hand, and she was incredibly thorough. It genuinely felt like she worked over my entire body by hand, seriously the best.

✨ Does the facial hurt? And did my jawline change?

Finally, the facial care! I once heard a friend gave up on lymphatic facial massage elsewhere after only 2 out of 10 sessions because it hurt so much haha. So I was a little nervous about how painful the facial part would be — and after trying it, I understood exactly what she meant.

It did hurt, but it was bearable for me! And when the treatment ended and I looked in the mirror, my jawline looked noticeably sharper than usual, which honestly surprised me. Wait, is this even possible..??? I usually don't even bother taking selfies, but this time I was so amazed I took photos haha.

My face is on the rounder side, but with a bit more care I might end up looking like a Jeulmun comb-pattern pottery piece(?) haha. I was worried about my jawline for the shoot, and now I get why brides-to-be get facial care before their wedding shoot or ceremony.

🥔 Any pressure to buy a package? The consultation and home care mask

The treatment was satisfying, but what I also really appreciated was that there was no pressure to buy anything. I don't currently live in Cheonan so weekly visits aren't easy for me, but I'm planning to get a place in Cheonan after the wedding, so I asked a lot of questions about the care options. There was no push to lock in 10 or 20 sessions right away, which made it much less stressful.

They also offer prenatal and postpartum care, plus a package for parents of the bride/groom — once a week for 4 weeks. If my mom and my future mother-in-law lived in Cheonan, I honestly would've signed them both up before the wedding!

And when I mentioned I had nothing else planned that evening and was just heading straight home,

she sent me home with a pack to use later. I tried it once I got home, and honestly, I loved it too~

My verdict on a first wedding care session in Cheonan

With less than two months to go before my wedding shoot, and my trapezius, neck, shoulders, and jawline all on my mind, this first wedding care session left me satisfied overall.

What stuck with me most was how thorough it was from start to finish, even though it was just one session. Once I move to Cheonan, I'll definitely come back and sign up for a package 🥔
