Korean restaurant in Daedeok, Daejeon for unlimited banchan: Baengnyeon Boribap
In short
Baengnyeon Boribap is a Korean restaurant in Daedeok, Daejeon, serving unlimited 12-dish banchan and rice. I had the aged-kimchi cheonggukjang barley-rice set with stir-fried pork, plus bibimbap, lettuce, and raw onion. Verdict: an outstanding-value choice for family meals and gatherings.

Another repeat visit, of course. This is our family’s favorite Korean restaurant, with fresh, generous 12-dish banchan (Korean side dishes) available for unlimited refills and seriously amazing value.

I first came to Baengnyeon Boribap (백년보리밥), our family’s favorite Korean restaurant in Sintanjin, with my mom a few months ago and loved it so much that I came back with my dad. Even Dad fell for it! It’s already my second visit this week—no secret there 🤭 Since the entire building is the restaurant, it’s easy to spot even from a distance.

The parking lot is seriously huge!!! You can come by comfortably without worrying about parking ^_^

A calm interior and table ordering
Unlike a typical all-you-can-eat spot, the interior feels refined and calm. There are also partitioned tables where you can dine more privately, so it’s perfect for group get-togethers and family meals! Of course, solo dining is welcome too 😊

Every table has a kiosk, so ordering is nice and easy!

When I visited last time, I tried the stir-fried pork, mackerel, and Korean pork cutlet, and every dish was delicious in its own way! But!! Maybe because I’m such a meat person, the pork and Korean pork cutlet tasted especially good to me,,? Haha. Today I was craving pork more, so we ordered two aged-kimchi cheonggukjang barley-rice sets with stir-fried pork. ✅ You can absolutely order different set menus for each person, too!

Use the large plates to bring back banchan from the self-service bar; the small plates are extras.

The self-service bar is refined and spotless too, so you can eat with confidence, haha.

Seasoned perilla leaves / seasoned bean sprouts / bracken fern namul / julienned radish salad / soy-braised pork

Stir-fried eggplant / young-radish kimchi / stir-fried mushrooms / cabbage salad / acorn jelly / japchae (stir-fried glass noodles) / lettuce & onion / white rice / barley rice / sungnyung (scorched-rice tea).

There are old-fashioned Korean snacks, coffee, and misutgaru (multigrain powder drink) for dessert too!!

I found it perfect to put the banchan I’d eat as sides on the left plate, bibimbap ingredients on the right, and lettuce and onion on the small plate ^.^

Cheonggukjang bibimbap and smoky stir-fried pork
Such a thoughtful touch: they even top the rice with a fried egg ✨ The aged-kimchi cheonggukjang comes in an individual ttukbaegi (earthenware pot), packed generously with tofu, zucchini, and more—it could honestly be a main dish on its own. It’s nicely savory, so it goes great with bibimbap 👍
Once the stir-fried pork arrives, this is the full spread~ With unlimited banchan and rice plus dessert, ₩14,500 per person is such incredible value, isn’t itㅠㅠ
Add the bibimbap ingredients and gochujang, mix it all up well, and dig in 😝

The main stir-fried pork is loaded with smoky wok flavor and just the right sweet-spicy kick—sooo good. This place is seriously a stir-fried-pork gem,,👍

It’s delicious on its own, but lettuce + bibimbap + stir-fried pork + raw onion is truly the best combination, so please try it this way!!! A staff member showed me this combo before, and it was so good that I always order the pork so I can keep eating it like this,, haha.
Unlimited 12-dish banchan and rice, plus dessert drinks and snacks; the clean dining room and spacious, convenient parking are great too. The bright, kind staff make it such a pleasant place! This is Sintanjin’s ultimate-value unlimited-refill restaurant, and I highly recommend it for office-worker lunches, group gatherings, and family meals!
