Slow But Barrel · Address: 113 Sinpyeong-ro, Dong-gu, Daegu · Hours: 10:30–22:00
Where do you park at Slow But Barrel Daegu?
At Slow But Barrel Daegu, you park the car and the entrance is only about 30 meters away. This is the entrance of the big Daegu café.

The path from the parking lot to the entrance was so pretty that I took a photo. The weather was lovely too, so I was in a really good mood.
The name "Slow But Barrel" is engraved in a modern style on the outer wall.

If you follow the vehicle entrance right beside the café, there is a big parking lot like this, so it's convenient when you come by car.
How big is the inside of Slow But Barrel Daegu?
As a big Daegu café should be, the interior is huge and has loads of tables. This is the bar table, and the whole inside was really spacious.
Slow But Barrel is well known as a café near M Star House (엠스타하우스) and Queen Bell Hotel (퀸벨호텔) in Daegu. On the Saturday I visited, the place was packed with people, and I saw lots of groups who had come right after a wedding.
Semi-indoor, terrace and lawn seating at Slow But Barrel
Besides the indoor space, Slow But Barrel has a semi-indoor area, a dog-friendly terrace and outdoor lawn seating.

Here's the semi-indoor area, with a cool sculpture.

This is the terrace where you can bring your dog.

Outside there are also pretty white tables and red chairs, so you can enjoy coffee among green grass and plants.
Lovely monitor displays are also shown inside the café, which adds even more atmosphere.

In front of the order counter there were notices introducing the various drinks, a Naver review event and other information.
Stylish design sits all around the café. The phrase "the beauty of slowness" caught my eye.

In one corner inside, pretty props are on display like this.
Can you bring kids or a dog to Slow But Barrel Daegu?
For families visiting with small children, Slow But Barrel has baby chairs that have been sterilized. There are also terrace tables where dogs are allowed, so keep that in mind.
Outside there's a triangular sculpture, which I thought was neat. There's a clean, spacious restroom indoors, which is convenient.
Slow But Barrel menu: coffee, juices and bakery
The menu covers coffee, signature drinks, fresh fruit juice and non-coffee drinks, and the café also sells bakery items and cake slices.

This is the menu. We ordered an iced Americano and a decaf iced Americano.
Next to the counter, cake slices and juice for kids are on sale like this.

This big Daegu café sells bread like this too. Bread prices are generally cheaper than at other cafés, which I liked.
How do the cream bread, chocolate madeleine and decaf Americano taste?
At Slow But Barrel we had a chocolate madeleine, a bread packed with fresh cream and an iced Americano. The bread was soft and nutty, and the coffee made with acidic beans had a deep aroma.

Here are the chocolate madeleine and bread we ordered. They look great and really tasty.

I cut the bread in half and it was filled with a huge amount of fresh cream. The bread was very soft and nutty, and paired with the sweet cream it was a perfect match, seriously.

This is the iced Americano we ordered. It uses beans with some acidity, and even though I don't really like acidity, the beans at this Daegu bakery café were so nutty and deeply fragrant that I loved it.

I put our order on the table and took a photo. Nice weather, nice café vibes, a really happy day.
