I had plans near Konkuk today, so I ended up in Jayang-dong. I'd been craving pizza for a while and while looking around I found Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch — great vibe, great food. They have a bunch of famous pizzas there, and since they offer half-and-half, that's what I went with haha.

The atmospheric terrace and the fact that the pizza stayed warm all the way to the last slice really won me over, so I wanted to share it with you all. Here's my detailed review of this pizza spot near Konkuk Station that I fell hard for!

Parking is tough, but it's not far from the subway. It's easy to find since it's right in the Konkuk food alley, and convenient if you're hanging out in the area anyway. There were a lot of people there too!

One big plus of Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch is that indoor and outdoor terrace spaces are separate, so you can pick seating to match your mood.

The terrace has that open outdoor feeling paired with cozy lighting, making it really pleasant and atmospheric for eating outside on a nice day.

The interior is trendy and kept clean, which gave it a neat impression overall. The whole place has a pub-style trendiness paired with a comfortable terrace.

Nachos and sauce come out as a complimentary starter, and they were so good I kept refilling haha.

Half-and-half pizza: basil pesto gorgonzola and rucola garlic shrimp

What we ordered was the half-and-half pizza, which lets you combine two flavors you like.

What really impressed me about the details here was that they light a candle under the pizza plate so it doesn't harden. Thanks to that, we could chat away while eating and still enjoy warm, gooey cheese right down to the last slice — very satisfying.

The fragrant basil pesto base was loaded with melted, salty, deeply flavored gorgonzola cheese. Dip it in the honey that comes with it for the perfect sweet-and-salty combo.

My favorite was the rucola garlic shrimp!!! The pizza comes generously piled with fresh, crisp rucola (arugula). The plump texture of the shrimp and the nutty, slightly bitter flavor of the rucola pair fantastically with the cheese haha.

Pineapple sorbet, the dessert from the receipt-review event

The pineapple sorbet I got for taking part in the pre-booking receipt review event!!! It came served in an actual pineapple shell, so it looked refreshing from the plating alone. The sweet, tangy pineapple sorbet cleared the palate nicely after the salty, warm pizza — a perfect closing dessert.
