What kind of café is Chimney Mansion?

Chimney Mansion is a unique chimney bread bakery café on Jandari-ro in Hongdae. Chimney bread is a different kind of dessert, so it's worth a stop if you're in Hongdae! The chimney bread is famous in Budapest, and you can eat it in Korea too, so Chimney Mansion gives you a little Europe-trip feeling. The interior is pretty as well ♡

How varied is the chimney bread menu at Chimney Mansion?

The chimney bread comes with so many creams and toppings, like pistachio, custard and egg, that I really struggled to choose! With all those creams and toppings they look great and seemed even tastier!! There's everything from sweet to salty, so whatever kind of bread you like, I think you'll be happy, haha.

There's plain chimney bread of course, and they also sell butter bars, cookies and brownies, so you can have desserts that aren't chimney bread too. The butter bars and brownies looked so rich and fudgy and really good!

The drink menu is varied too, and you can switch to decaf! The grilled Chimney Salt Bread looked delicious, and the Chimney Ice Cream, where they put ice cream inside the bread, sounds so so good! Next time I go, I'll probably try the ice cream.

When I visited, Chimney Mansion was running a review event: if you write a review, you could get a cinnamon or sea salt chimney bread! If you go, I think it's a good idea to join the review event and get the chimney bread :)

Is Chimney Mansion's interior and seating good for a date?

Chimney Mansion is a large café on two floors, and it was really great for a date! The mood on the first floor was really good. It's a unique Hongdae café where you can eat chimney bread, a bakery worth visiting, and the atmosphere is nice too.

Going up to the second floor, the mood was good too, and the interior style was really stylish. The café is big, so one plus is that there are lots of seats!

The sofa seats were so comfy that it's the perfect spot for a date. And the vibe is totally good-feeling, I'm in love ㅠㅠ

There are terrace seats too, so on a nice day sitting out on the terrace would be really lovely! The café vibe on the terrace is so good that I want to go again once the weather cools down, haha.

The restroom is inside the café, which was convenient, and it's separate for men and women, so it's even easier to use!

How were the chimney bread and drinks we ordered at Chimney Mansion?

At Chimney Mansion we ordered two chimney breads, an Americano and the Chimney Mansion Tea. The chimney breads and drinks looked absolutely amazing ♥ The Americano had a classic taste that went well with the sweet desserts! The Chimney Mansion Tea is a blend of hibiscus, orange, pear and apple, and it suited summer. It smelled fresh and sweet, and it was delicious.

They gave us scissors for cutting the dessert, and they were so cute, lol. Cutting with the tiny scissors somehow made it feel extra stylish.

If you cut it into bite-size pieces with the scissors, you can enjoy the dessert even more!

Chimney Choco Sora

The Chimney Choco Sora is similar to a sora bread (spiral-shaped conch bread), but since the bread is chimney bread, it was much tastier! The chocolate cream is rich and the chocolate coating on the bottom is good too, so if you like chocolate, I absolutely recommend it.

Peanuts House

The Peanuts House has chocolate coating, peanuts and even caramel sprinkled on top, so it's a really delicious sweet-and-salty combo. Personally, I was more satisfied than I expected!!

Who should you go to Chimney Mansion with?

Chimney Mansion is a unique Hongdae bakery café where you can eat chimney bread! It was really great for a date, and it's a good café to go to with friends too. It's a big Hongdae café with lots of tables, so I think it would be fine on a weekend too, haha.
