Another Level (어나더레벨) is a rooftop bar on the 4th floor of a building on Euljiro 12-gil, near Euljiro 3-ga Station. With the weekend here, I made plans to finally meet up with my close friends in Hipjiro (the hip Euljiro area), which is the hottest spot right now.

Rather than some loud, generic pub, we wanted a special place where we could chat quietly among ourselves and still treat our eyes. I searched like crazy and found this Euljiro gem.

The interior was far roomier and more comfortable than I'd imagined, and the stylish lighting gave it a distinctive mood.

Above all, there's a rooftop where you can take in the dazzling city night view, and I instantly thought there couldn't be a more perfect Euljiro 3-ga bar for group gatherings or company dinners.

• Visiting tip: Rooftop seats with the dazzling city night view fill up quickly in the evening, so for a bigger group I recommend booking ahead through Naver Place.

I was invited and received complimentary service, but I was so taken with the place's unique vibe that it would have been well worth paying my own money. It's a seriously hip Euljiro bar.

What did we eat at Another Level? Draft beer, ttukbaegi pasta and pan pizza

At our indoor seats at Another Level we ordered draft beer, spicy ttukbaegi pasta (pasta served bubbling in a Korean earthenware pot) and pepperoni focaccia pan pizza. These are the signature dishes here, and they went together so well that I'll sum up the whole experience in one paragraph.

It started with refreshing draft beer served in a clear glass with a light frosting of ice, cool all the way down to your chest,

then the spicy ttukbaegi pasta, arriving bubbling in a big bowl with a sharp, deeply savory aroma,

and finally the pepperoni focaccia pan pizza, with salty pepperoni and rich cheese cascading over thick, fluffy focaccia dough. It was truly a dream lineup.

Dipping the crispy-outside, soft-inside pizza into the spicy broth gave a golden spicy-sweet-salty balance, and the beer kept disappearing. Alternating bites of these great, trendy dishes against a gorgeous city view, it felt like the whole week's fatigue vanished in an instant, and I immediately understood why so many people track down this Euljiro 3-ga bar.

Another Level is a Euljiro 3-ga bar where the night view, the quality of the food and the staff service were all satisfying. To sum up, I can say with confidence it's a top Euljiro spot that nails all three: a fantastic night view that seems to hold the night sky, and food of distinctive quality.

From the hygienic upkeep of the place to the staff's thoughtful friendliness, everything was perfect, and it raised the whole feel of our get-together. A great Euljiro bar.
