Getting to Ugojip near Express Bus Terminal Station and hours
Today, I’m sharing my visit to Ugojip (우고집), a Korean BBQ restaurant near Express Bus Terminal.

It is in the basement of Banpo Shopping Town Building 5, 195 Sinbanpo-ro, Seocho-gu, Seoul. It is 97 m from Exit 8-2 of Express Bus Terminal Station on Subway Lines 3, 7, and 9, and you can spot it right after crossing the road from the main entrance of Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam. Come out of Exit 8-2, pass KFC, and you’ll find it in the basement of Banpo Shopping Town Building 5. It is open daily from 15:00 to 23:00, with last orders at 22:00.

A wide range of meats and set menus
Ugojip has a wide selection of meats, including beef belly, brisket, boneless short rib, hanger steak, chuck flap, and outside skirt, plus many sides to choose according to your taste. There are also value set menus such as the couple set, signature set, and brisket samhap, a three-way combination. I visited with very high expectations after hearing it was a great Korean BBQ spot near Express Bus Terminal.

The restaurant was very comfortable and clean, and the owner was genuinely kind. Even when I arrived at 6 p.m. on a weekday, there were already a few diners; once the after-work rush began, more people came in, including reservations. Seeing family meals and group gatherings made me trust even more that this really is a popular Korean BBQ spot near Express Bus Terminal.

Corkage is free for one bottle of wine, and you can also buy wine at a reasonable price to enjoy here, so wine lovers may want to keep that in mind. As a wine-loving woman, I wanted it sooo badly, but we had planned to go drink beer by the Han River afterward, so sadly I passed that day ㅠ.

The couple set for two and banchan
For the two of us, I ordered the recommended couple set, just right for sharing: beef belly, boneless short rib, hanger steak, and beef brisket doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew).

The banchan (Korean side dishes) arrived as soon as we ordered: a refreshing salad to awaken the appetite, sweet-and-tangy shredded scallions, delicious yeolmu kimchi, and myeong-i namul pickled wild garlic leaves, all great with meat. I also loved that they gave us a variety of sauces, including wasabi, salt, and Cheongyang chili paste.

As introduced above, the couple set came with flavorful, savory boneless short rib; hanger steak with a clean, rich beef flavor; mild and nutty beef belly; and assorted vegetables. All this for ₩49,000!! It was a great-value menu for two.

Grilling beef belly, hanger steak, and boneless short rib
Following the owner’s recommendation, we began by grilling the beef belly. I also really liked that the heat on the stone grill was strong enough to cook everything nice and quickly.

With so many side dishes and sauces, it was fun trying the meat in different ways each time. My pick was the shredded scallions with Cheongyang chili paste! I just kept eating it without getting tired of it.

I usually prefer thick cuts of meat, so I had said I was not really into beef belly, brisket, or frozen pork belly. But this beef belly was so delicious that I felt silly for saying that. After finishing the beef belly, the grill had released some fat, so we grilled the vegetables and hanger steak together.

I absolutely love grilling zucchini with meat at home, and this owner seriously knows good food~~~ I was so delighted by the thoughtful zucchini. It was insanely delicious ㅠ____ㅠ ♥

I thought the hanger steak was the tastiest, while my friend said the boneless short rib was the best. I think which cut is better simply comes down to personal taste, and every meat in the set was delicious.

The first photo is the boneless short rib!! The onions were another killer point after the zucchini... ♥ With vegetables, tasty banchan, and all those sauces, this Korean BBQ restaurant near Express Bus Terminal was even more enjoyable and delicious.

A generously sized beef brisket doenjang-jjigae
Lastly came the beef brisket doenjang-jjigae. I was surprised first by how large the stew was, then again by how generously packed it was. It had no shortage of zucchini, mushrooms, onions, tofu, and more—enough for two people with leftovers—and big pieces of brisket too, so it was really delicious and satisfying.

Add one bowl of rice, give it a good mix into the stew, and ohhh, how delicious it is~~~~~~ It was such a full and satisfying dinner. I recommend Ugojip as a Korean BBQ restaurant near Express Bus Terminal!!!
