Gapyeong brunch with pine nut rosé pasta: Pinoli
In short
Pinoli is an Italian home-style brunch restaurant in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi, serving local produce and house-made sauces inside Gapyeong Jatgoeul Market. After the Jarasum Flower Festa, we had the 14,900-won Pinoli Pasta and 12,900-won open jambon sandwich, with the spicy pine nut rosé sauce and truffle butter standing out. Pinoli is a lovely pick for a special Italian-style meal while exploring the market.

After visiting the Jarasum Flower Festa, we stopped by an Italian home-style restaurant in Gapyeong for brunch. Let me introduce this Gapyeong brunch spot, where a cooking teacher who has researched and taught Italian cuisine for 18 years personally puts care into everything—from selecting ingredients to the final plating—and brings Gapyeong’s four seasons to the Pinoli table.

The exterior and interior inside Jatgoeul Market

Pinoli is on the first floor of the Startup Economy Town inside Gapyeong Jatgoeul Market, with the broad Jatgoeul Plaza right in front.

Inside, in first-floor unit 111,

there is a view of the plaza through

a neat dining area with tables beside full-height windows,

and a compactly arranged counter display.
The Pinoli Pasta and open jambon sandwich we ordered

The signature Pinoli Pasta (₩14,900) has a rosé sauce that balances tomato’s fresh savory tang with the softness of fresh cream. Thick-cut bacon is browned to add a salty richness, while a gentle heat keeps it from becoming too rich. The nutty fat rendered from the bacon gives the sauce depth, and the smooth, rich sauce coats the chewy noodles evenly, making every bite burst with all those flavors together. The open jambon sandwich (₩12,900) comes with jambon cured and sous-vide for 23 hours, house-made truffle butter, and organic arugula.

While waiting for the food, I looked at the pretty fresh flowers on the table.

Then yeolmu (young radish) pickles with whole peppercorns arrived, followed by the mains one by one.
Pinoli Pasta with spicy rosé sauce

My husband’s top pick, the Pinoli Pasta, is made with bacon, mushrooms, fresh cream, and chewy mafaldine pasta. It is one of the signature brunch dishes in Gapyeong.

You can see pine nuts scattered throughout the Pinoli Pasta. Every bite has a subtle pine nut aroma that blends with the deep rosé sauce—it is nutty, spicy, and delicious. I would recommend the Pinoli Pasta on a day when you are craving something spicy.
Open jambon sandwich with truffle butter

My top pick, the open jambon sandwich, is

built on crisp yet soft rustic bread spread with house-made white truffle butter and tomato jam, then piled generously with tender jambon and finished with organic arugula.

The tender jambon and rustic bread come together for a nutty flavor, while the sauce with its soft truffle butter and sweetness really boosts the sandwich’s flavor!

The arugula peeking out between the jambon adds a light bitterness and freshness for a clean finish. This open jambon sandwich, made with healthy ingredients from fresh local produce, is the kind of brunch anyone would enjoy.
Italian home-style food made with local produce and house-made sauces
I heard that every Pinoli menu item includes a house-made seasoned soy sauce aged for 24 hours with 19 natural ingredients, aromatic juice, lemon, and Gapyeong apples. All the sauces and dressings are made in-house as well, using local produce such as Gapyeong pine nuts, grapes, apples, and tomatoes. Part of the proceeds is said to support neighbors in need in Gapyeong.
At Pinoli, you can enjoy healthy Italian cooking flavored with fresh local produce and house-made sauces. I would recommend it as a brunch spot for special Italian food in Gapyeong.

When we visited Pinoli, busking performances and the 2026 Duneto Market were taking place at Gapyeong Jatgoeul Market. It was a day for brunch in Gapyeong and a look around the Duneto Market, too. When you want Italian home-style food, I recommend Pinoli at Gapyeong Jatgoeul Market, where there is plenty to see and eat!
