Cheonan pork bone grill house with BBQ-flavor ppyeo-gui: Sinbu Garden

In short

Sinbu Garden (신부가든) is a grilled pork bone restaurant on Meokgeori 8-gil in Sinbu-dong, Cheonan, that also serves gamjatang (pork bone and potato stew), pork bone hangover soup, potato pancakes and spicy stir-fried pork. The writer ordered the barbecue-flavor ppyeo-gui (grilled pork bones), the mildest of the spice options, for 2 with rice, and found the big chunks of meat melt-in-your-mouth tender and well seasoned. For grilled pork bones with drinks or a meal near Cheonan Terminal and Shinsegae Department Store, Sinbu Garden is a good choice.

Location and business information for Sinbu Garden in Sinbu-dong, Cheonan

It is a pork bone restaurant near Cheonan Bus Terminal, close to Cheonan Station (Line 1) and the Shinsegae Department Store in Cheonan. Pork bone places aren't easy to find, so I'm so happy to have found this one...! It sits in a hot spot of Sinbu-dong, near the terminal and the Shinsegae, so it's an easy place to drop by -

Is Sinbu Garden roomy enough for group gatherings?

The inside of Sinbu Garden was quite spacious and clean. Tables for 2, 4 and larger groups are all available, and it felt like a good space for group get-togethers or a date :)

Basic side dishes and the self-serve bar

After you order at Sinbu Garden, the basic spread comes out: radish kimchi (kkakdugi), chili peppers, onion and ssamjang (dipping paste). They go well with the pork bones, and since they sell gamjatang too, they apparently go well with that as well - there's also a separate self-serve bar, so if you want more than the basic spread you can grab extra, and extra small plates too!

How was the barbecue-flavor pork bones for 2 at Sinbu Garden?

Today I ordered the pork bones (for 2) in barbecue flavor and steamed rice.

Pork bones (for 2)

Barbecue-flavor pork bones for 2 at Sinbu Garden

The mildest pork bones (for 2) arrived soon after ordering! It's the same cut of bone you usually get in gamjatang, tossed thoroughly in seasoning and covered in sesame seeds. The smell as soon as it came out was so good - and you can adjust the spice level too, which is just so so great,,,

Big chunks of pork bone meat tossed in seasoning

Above all, every chunk of meat at Sinbu Garden was huge! I was ready to eat until I was sick of it,,,,,,♡ And it must be boiled properly before it comes out, because the meat just melts in your mouth,,, it's so good, really,,,,, And the sauce is seasoned just right, so it goes perfectly with the meat -

If the pork bones are this good, how good must the gamjatang be,,,,,, When it's cold, try the brothy gamjatang too!!!

Steamed rice

The steamed rice at Sinbu Garden is good value,, and maybe because the pork bones are so tasty, the rice just disappears - highly recommended!!!

Dipping the rice in the pork bone sauce, not just the meat, and mixing it up makes it even better!!! Tasty, and a great place to try pork bones - I recommend Sinbu Garden, a pork bone restaurant in Cheonan :-)
