LOOOP Bakery: a large Seongsu café with plenty of room to sit
LOOOP Bakery (LOOOP 루프 베이커리 카페) is a large bakery café on Yeonmujang 5-gil in Seongsu, and it isn't just one floor: the space continues from the 1st floor upward. I was looking for a big Seongsu café where seats aren't a worry on weekends or busy hours, so I went to LOOOP Bakery.
Seongsu has a café on practically every other block, but go on a weekend or at a busy time and you often find no seats, or a shop smaller than you expected, right? So this day I looked for a big Seongsu café where I could stay a bit more comfortably, and ended up at LOOOP Bakery.
Conclusion first: the coffee and bakery were good, but what stayed with me was the space itself 👋 It's not a one-floor café. The space runs from the 1st floor up, and each floor has a slightly different mood, so it's fun to wander around. Even in other reviews, using the 1st to 3rd floors plus the terrace and rooftop is a plus 👍

What are LOOOP Bakery's exterior and 1st floor like?
Even from the outside, LOOOP is different from the small Seongsu cafés. I used to love that small-café feel, but these days it's all about big is better....! It has that hip Seongsu mood without feeling over-decorated; overall it's clean and simple.
On the 1st floor you'll find the bakery and the ordering area, with seating stretching out comfortably behind the order counter, so it didn't feel like everyone was crowded into one spot.
There are photo spots all over the place! ❣️
Are LOOOP Bakery's 2nd floor, terrace and rooftop good for working alone?
The tables on the 2nd floor aren't squeezed stuffily together, so it was easy to chat over coffee. It also seems fine for coming alone to work on a laptop or just spend quiet time.
On nice days you can use the terrace and rooftop too, which gives a different feel from indoors!

This day we ordered a Loop latte, a café latte and a salt bread (soft, buttery roll with a salted crust). LOOOP Bakery has a wide variety of baked goods and even runs a vegan bakery, but we had already eaten, so we didn't order a lot and just picked light items!! 🫡🫡

The café latte at LOOOP Bakery, on the other hand, tasted the familiar way you'd expect, so it was easy to drink. You could taste the milk's nuttiness and the coffee wasn't too strong, so it went well with the salt bread.

The salt bread at LOOOP Bakery was slightly crisp outside and chewy inside, simply tasty. I picked it to have something light with coffee, and the size was better than I expected.
It has a subtle buttery flavor and a salty edge, so eating it with the sweet Loop latte was just delicious 👍❣️
Why LOOOP Bakery is a big Seongsu café worth visiting
LOOOP Bakery in Seongsu 🍞 The coffee and bread were decent and good, but what impressed me most personally was the roomy space and the mood that changes on each floor. Seongsu has so many pretty cafés, but plenty have cramped seats or feel awkward to stay in for long. LOOOP Bakery has lots of space and varied seating, so I could relax there fairly comfortably 👍
I also liked that, with the photo zone, self-photo space, terrace and rooftop, there's more to look around at than in a café where you just drink. If you're looking for a big Seongsu café, a Seongsu bakery café, or a place to sit a bit more calmly in crowded Seongsu, it's worth stopping by LOOOP Bakery 😍
