A café tucked in the middle of an alley caught my eye, and as I passed through the surrounding lanes there were plenty of restaurants and cafés around. Between the low buildings, a dessert café's sign came into view.

Where is Bocado Butter Seongsu Main Store, and what are its hours?
Bocado Butter Seongsu Main Store is in an alley about 230m from Exit 3 of Seongsu Station, Line 2. Hours are 10:30-22:00, with Wednesdays running 13:00-22:00, and there's no parking.
A standing sign guided the way down the lane. I checked the map and found it quickly. I visited during a fairly quiet hour and had a relaxing time.

Wood-toned interior and the "just one bite" idea behind the name
The interior of Bocado Butter Seongsu Main Store is a wood-toned space with a bar table, wooden chairs, and an archway passage. The brand logo and signage were engraved on the wall, blending in as part of the interior.
Walking inside, I saw the bar table first, with wooden chairs lined up neatly. My gaze followed the archway passage. Warm lighting filled the space, and a cozy atmosphere lingered. The wooden furniture gave the interior a warm feel.
The brand logo was engraved on the wall, and signage decorated it as well. The emotive font caught my eye and felt like part of the interior. Apparently 'bocado' means 'just one bite' in Spanish — true to the name, they aim to make desserts that leave a deep impression in just one bite.

I walked toward the counter. Desserts sat inside the showcase. The wood tones inside the café felt comfortable. Lighting illuminated the desserts. There was also a sink inside the café so I could freely wash my hands, which was nice — a helpful spot when wet wipes just aren't enough.

What we ordered: the bocado 8pcs and coffee set with two dipping creams
What I ordered was Bocado Butter's bocado 8pcs+coffee set, base priced at 10,000 won, with the coffee swapped for iced Einspänner. Dipping creams are 1,200 won each, and I picked two — coconut dipping cream and butter caramel cream. There's a range of coffee options to choose from too~
A tray was set on the wooden table. The desserts arrived along with the coffee. The deep brown coffee aroma spread, and the neat presentation looked appealing. They were light to eat, and I found them even better dipped in the cream. Sweetness spread in my mouth, and the pairing with coffee was excellent. I spent time enjoying the dessert.

The dessert in its yellow package looked delicious, and alongside the Einspänner it made the café atmosphere feel even livelier. Time passed leisurely.

I picked one up by hand — it was very light, and with a light coating of cream inside, it was fine to eat plain too.

Coconut dipping cream vs butter caramel cream: how they taste
Bocado Butter's coconut dipping cream has a mild, basic-cream-like flavor, while the butter caramel cream had a slight coffee note. Both were flavors unlikely to divide opinion strongly.
I dipped generously into the cream in its sauce bowl. The desserts on the tray steadily disappeared. They're good plain, but dipping into the cream brought out more flavor and made them even better to eat.
The dessert in my hand shrank quickly. I dipped into the cream without holding back 😅 I rediscovered the dessert's charm again~ I enjoyed every last piece thoroughly, cream and all.

Free stickers at the counter and the full-length mirror
There were small stickers near the counter at Bocado Butter Seongsu Main Store, and I took two of different colors~ Just the right size for diary decorating.

I stood in front of the full-length mirror and captured the moment. The dessert set blended with the wall decorations. Interior props filled the space. It's a place I'd like to come back to, and every corner of the café reflected in the mirror looked really pretty.

How many dipping creams should you order at Bocado Butter?
Bocado Butter seemed just right when craving something light, and it pairs well with coffee too. One dipping sauce is plenty, but if you love cream, two is nice as well~
Bocado Butter was an easy, no-pressure treat — grab a piece or two and it might disappear before you know it~
