Western restaurants are usually a bit awkward or pricey to visit alone, so I don't go often — but this time I checked out Pastalreo, a Naeseo, Masan spot known for good prices and a cute vibe that's easy to drop into solo. Let me introduce it right away!
Where is Pastaleo in Naeseo Samgye, and where do you park?
Pastalreo Bakjeom is at 36 Samgyesup-gil, Naeseo-eup, Masanhoewon-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, ground floor. Groups are welcome, baby chairs are available, delivery is possible, and you can park in front of the shop or along the alley.
Here's the exterior of Pastalreo, the pasta place in Naeseo Samgye. There aren't many Western restaurants nearby and the cursive sign really stands out! You can park in front, in the side alley, or along the street.
They said the cube steak is ₩4,000 off — limited to 20 orders each for lunch and dinner — so I walked in thinking, I have to order this.
During Chuseok they're only closed on the holiday itself, but there's a break time, so keep that in mind!
Inside Pastaleo: the room and the group tables
Here's the inside of Pastalreo, a Changwon pasta spot. It's done in wood tones, giving it a cozy feel, and the tables are spaced generously so there's no crowding! In the back there's a group table that looked like it could seat at least 10 or more.
The default setup is 4-seat tables, so even two people can spread out comfortably.
Is Pastaleo okay with a baby? Baby chairs and aprons
Pastalreo Bakjeom has an apron, and further inside there are baby chairs too. Looking around the restaurant, I saw a lot of customers there for family meals with kids. Masan pasta places like this often have a vibe that's hard for families with kids, but this one felt genuinely family-friendly, haha. I'd recommend it as a Masan family dining spot.
Pastaleo's self-serve bar and country-of-origin labels
At the self-serve bar you can grab pickles and sauces, wet wipes, plates, and tissues. Right next to it there's a draft beer machine, haha.
They'd also written out the country-of-origin labels in detail. Little touches like this made me feel the owner runs the place with real care and is very kind.
I decided to try solo dining that day. Eating alone at a Masan pasta place can feel awkward sometimes, but they welcomed me so warmly that I ate well and left happy. I'd definitely recommend this as a solo-dining spot in Naeseo!

The menu covers pasta, risotto, pilaf, pizza, and steak — a wide range. And above all, the prices are so nice.
Just like I'd seen before going in, visiting during lunch hours means you can get the cube steak for ₩9,900, so I ordered the spicy cream risotto, shrimp oyster pasta, and cube steak. Even ordering that generously it only came to about ₩30,000 — the best value spot in Naeseo, Masan, hands down.
They were also running a receipt review event, so I jumped right in. Sipping the orange ade, my sugar levels shot right up, haha.
Three dishes ordered solo at Pastaleo: how did they taste?
A little while later everything arrived! Even dishes under ₩10,000 came out so generously portioned that I thought, yep, this really is a great-value Masan spot, haha.
The 9,900-won lunch cube steak
First out was the lunch-only ₩9,900 cube steak! It's so good the price is hard to believe.
I asked for it cooked medium rare, and it was tender enough for kids to eat too — I'd recommend it to parents looking for a kid-friendly restaurant in Naeseo.
Shrimp oyster pasta: how spicy is it really?
The menu warned that the shrimp oyster pasta is spicy, so I was a bit worried, but once I tried it, it wasn't a numbing spicy at all — more of a gentle heat that cuts through the richness! Even spice wimps could enjoy this happily, haha. It's loaded with shrimp too.
Spicy cream risotto
Last was the spicy cream risotto — the savory cream sauce with a sharp kick of spice was so satisfying. A perfect combination!
Who should eat at Pastaleo?
Pastalreo, the Masan pasta place that doesn't make you feel awkward for eating alone! If you're near Naeseo Samgye or Jungni in Masan and want to enjoy hearty Western food at a great price, or you're looking for a Masan family restaurant where you can eat comfortably with kids, I'd recommend Pastalreo. ><
