Curly hair that made every morning a struggle

I've naturally got some curl to my hair, so washing it used to stress me out a lot. Even after shampooing and blow-drying, my hair would still look frizzy and puffed up. It got even worse on humid days, to the point where I couldn't go outside without styling it first.

Heel Avec Changwon Masan branch, which I visited, is located near Gyeongnam University, in the Masan Daetgeori area.

My first impression walking in was that it felt clean and spacious overall. I liked that the space felt roomy instead of having that cluttered, busy salon feel.

There was also a separate waiting area, so I could wait comfortably. And this kind of detail quietly boosts my satisfaction — there was a pretty wide variety of drinks offered too haha. The longer the treatment takes, the more these little touches mean.

Above all, I tend to go back to a salon I was happy with even if it's a bit far, and Heel Avec Changwon Masan branch is exactly that place for me. There are plenty of salons near my house, but there's a reason I go out of my way to come all the way here. Once again, I put my curly hair in Director Yuri's hands!

Before: curly hair that was unmanageable without styling

This is what my hair looked like before this treatment. On top of my natural curl, damage had built up too, so my hair was frizzy and puffed up all over. Instead of falling calmly in one direction, it flew every which way, so it looked pretty messy unless I styled it 🥹🥹

Straight perm vs slick perm: why I chose the slick perm

Even when I wanted to grow my hair out longer, the messy ends kept the overall look from feeling clean, which stressed me out too. So at first I naturally thought of a straight perm (magic straightening). Since my hair is curly, I figured just straightening it out completely would be the cleanest option.

and then moved on to the Ayunchae 3STEP care. The care I received used Ayunchae products in a 3-step process: Pro PPT → Bond → Butter.

Giving my badly damaged hair the care it needed before starting the perm made me feel a lot more reassured about the whole process.

Honestly, I've worried about hair damage for a long time, so I was concerned that a perm or straightening treatment might damage my hair even more. But seeing them pay this much attention to my hair's condition before the treatment even started made me trust the process a lot more.

After the slick perm: the before-and-after that made me ask, "is this my hair?"

And then the treatment was finally done. The first thing I thought looking in the mirror was, "wow... it's really calm." The hair that used to be frizzy and puffed up and flying to the side was smooth and settled all over.

The Miracle Clinic treatment I got from Director Yuri before was really satisfying, and above all, I liked that they didn't just dive straight into the treatment based on how my hair looked — they cared for and prepped my hair first.

And the end result: frizzy, puffed-up curly hair → calm, glossy, bouncy hair. That clear transformation is what satisfies me most.

Before, going outside without styling my hair was basically impossible, but now I feel like just washing and drying it will give me a somewhat put-together look, which already feels so much easier. Most of all, I love how calmly my hair bounces now — I kept staring at my hair in the mirror for a while afterward haha.
