I got assigned a room, and the massage room I was led into was a private single room. The room temperature was neither too cold nor too warm — perfectly comfortable, the kind of environment that makes you feel sleepy the moment you lie down.

After confirming the reservation, they hand you disposable underwear. Since I chose the aroma massage course to gently release tension in every muscle and get some moisture in too, I wore the aroma-specific gown. Why the gown, you ask?

So today I made sure to clear my schedule and take the full 90 minutes, and I really got thorough care from head to toe without missing a spot. If you want to properly release your fatigue, I'd recommend going for 90 minutes.

Thai massage is done on a floor bed like this, and Puan Massage has electric heating pads under every bed, so the air above stays cool while your body stays warm during the massage. So thoughtful, right~? This place has apparently been running for about 7 years. With the economy being rough these days, it's rare for a place to stay open that long, which probably means they have a lot of regulars ~ Every room was kept impeccably clean too. Maybe that's why customers kept coming in even during my short wait hahaha

That's probably why there are so many rooms ~ They have both private single rooms and multi-person rooms, so it would be great to come with friends or family too. These days a lot of people come here as a Seongjeong-dong couple massage date course too.

I peeked into the shower area and it was spotless, I was genuinely impressed! Hair dryers, combs, toner, lotion — everything you need to freshen up was all there. The showers weren't shared but separated by gender, which I really appreciated. It was set up to make it super convenient to wash off before or after your massage. They even kept the shampoo and body wash well stocked. You really can come empty-handed, just your body, and that's so convenient ~~~

What the 90-minute aroma massage at Puan Massage felt like

🤍 Alright, let me tell you about the actual massage. My therapist was from Thailand and had over 5 years of massage experience. Her Korean was limited to simple phrases like "gently" or "does it hurt," but we could communicate exactly what was needed during the massage. If anything felt uncomfortable, I could just ring the bell to call the manager, so there was no issue at all.

🌿 Once I lay down and the real aroma treatment began, she started by gently spreading the oil and loosening up my stiff back and shoulder muscles — and honestly, warmth and relief spread wherever her hands touched! Because I'm on my phone or at the computer so often, my neck, shoulders, and the area around my shoulder blades were rock hard.
