Cheonan café for decaf lattes and baked treats: Brewers Coffee

Today’s stop is Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch, a Sinbu-dong café in Cheonan that I’m already visiting for the Nth time.

Where can you park near Shinsegae Department Store?

It is 500 m from Cheonan Shinsegae Department Store, so you can get there in about three minutes on foot. Parking is not especially plentiful in Sinbu-dong’s restaurant alley, so I recommend using Sinbu 4 Public Parking Lot right next to the café.

The Sinbu 4 Public Parking Lot in front of the café offers the first 30 minutes free, so it did not feel burdensome even for a quick stop. The surrounding streets are rather narrow, though, so parking in the public lot or a paid lot and walking over was the easiest option.

Can a decaf latte still be richly flavorful?

There is always one thing I wonder about when recommending cafés in Cheonan: it is surprisingly hard to find somewhere with both good coffee and satisfying desserts. Brewers Coffee solved that problem all at once for me.

This time, I had a decaf café latte, and I was surprised that its aroma still came through so strongly despite being decaf. Decaf drinks can often taste a little flat, but the beans here must be good because the flavor was unmistakably there.

It was in the ₩6,000 range, which felt like a reasonable price for a café latte.

The three baked treats I ordered

I ordered three baked desserts, and I was happy with every one of them.

Almond chocolate madeleine

The almond chocolate madeleine was ₩3,500. It had that classic madeleine texture—crisp outside and moist within—and the crunchy almond pieces went beautifully with the chocolate.

Vanilla canelé

The vanilla canelé had the classic texture too: a lightly firm, caramelized exterior and a moist center. Specks of vanilla bean throughout gave it a natural fragrance.

Dubai financier

At ₩4,000, the Dubai financier was the priciest of the four desserts. It was made in the currently popular Dubai chocolate style, topped with pistachio and kadaif, so the chew and crunch were distinctly different.

Terrace seating, takeaway, and visits with children or pets

Brewers Coffee is known for French-style baked treats and bakery items made fresh each morning, so the café felt trustworthy on freshness as well. If you are looking for great baked treats in Cheonan, this is something worth noting in particular.

There is also an outdoor terrace at the back of the café, which looked lovely for lingering outside on a nice day. Gift wrapping is available for baked treats, too, so stopping by on a Sinbu-dong date and taking some away as a gift would be a good choice.

Brewers Coffee welcomes both young children and pets, so it is also an easy place to recommend to families looking for somewhere to visit in Sinbu-dong.
