Quiet Euljiro wine bar for conversation over cheese: Chin & Nose
In short
Chin & Nose (친앤노즈) is a quiet wine bar on the 3rd floor of a building near Exit 10 of Euljiro 3-ga Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. After dinner, the writer stopped by Chin & Nose for a second round and ordered a dessert wine, a non-alcoholic wine and a cheese platter (3 cheeses, dried figs and mandarin jam); the soft lighting and well-spaced tables made it easy to focus on conversation. Chin & Nose is a good pick for a relaxed glass of wine and a real talk in Euljiro without the noise.

Chin & Nose, a wine bar in Euljiro where you can actually talk
Chin & Nose (친앤노즈) is a wine bar on the 3rd floor of a building near Euljiro 3-ga Station. I went looking for somewhere quiet where we could talk and enjoy the atmosphere. Every time I go to Euljiro these days, I notice that there are lots of great restaurants and good-looking bars, but it's hard to find a place where you can talk quietly. Most are too loud or too crowded to really focus on a conversation.
Chin & Nose isn't just a pretty interior. The atmosphere, the food and the drinks are well balanced overall, which is why it stuck with me. So today I'm sharing my honest visit to Chin & Nose, a wine bar in Euljiro.

Where is Chin & Nose, and what are the hours?
Chin & Nose is about a 1-2 minute walk from Exit 10 of Euljiro 3-ga Station. It's open until midnight Monday to Thursday and until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, so it's a good wine bar to drop into after work.
Because it's so easy to stop by after work, I thought it would also work well for a office-worker date. It's tucked inside an alley that keeps Euljiro's special vibe, so you feel the "Hipjiro" (trendy Euljiro) mood from the walk there. And since it stays open late, it's a nice wine bar for after work.

What's the atmosphere like? Is it good for talking?
A moody, stylish feel the moment you walk in
Thanks to the soft lighting, gentle music and roomy spacing between tables, Chin & Nose was a wine bar where it was easy to focus on conversation. The first thing I noticed when I opened the door was the space itself. The lighting is neither too dark nor too bright, just softly there, and it naturally made me want to settle into a conversation. It keeps the trendy feel that's popular these days without being too noisy or busy, and I liked that.

The tables are spaced generously, so I wasn't bothered by the conversations next to us, and the quiet music made the space even nicer. The window seats and the center tables have slightly different moods, so you get a different charm depending on where you sit. The plants and tasteful objects dotted around work as accents without overdoing it, and the whole place felt refined. That's probably why I saw quite a few couples.

Can you order just drinks at Chin & Nose?
An ordering system that doesn't pressure you
You can order just drinks or just food at Chin & Nose, so it's easy to stop by for a second round. This ordering style was one of the things I liked most here. At many wine bars you have to order wine and a meal together, so I appreciated being able to visit without any pressure.
We had already eaten for the first round, so we ordered a dessert wine, a non-alcoholic wine and a cheese platter. It was the perfect lineup to enjoy lightly even on a full stomach.

What comes on the Chin & Nose cheese platter?
A cheese platter that goes well with wine
The Chin & Nose cheese platter comes with 3 kinds of cheese, dried figs and mandarin jam (tangerine jam). The platter we ordered was better put together than I expected.
The jam in the middle really stood out. Putting a little on the cheese added a sweet, fresh flavor that went really well with the wine. The dried figs were also nice with the cheese, and overall it wasn't over the top, so it was easy to enjoy without feeling heavy.
The staff also explained the aroma and taste of the wines kindly, so we could choose to suit our taste. Sipping wine slowly and chatting in such a nice space, I think we lost track of time.

Not just pretty, but a comfortable space
What I liked most about Chin & Nose is that it's less a wine bar for taking photos than a space where the time you spend is actually comfortable. The quiet atmosphere let us focus on our conversation naturally, and it was a nice way to end the day with a glass of wine.

If you're looking for a date spot in Euljiro or a place to enjoy wine calmly, I think Chin & Nose is worth a visit. The atmosphere, food and wine were all satisfying in balance, so I'd personally go back~! On a day when you want to talk over a quiet drink in Euljiro, I recommend Chin & Nose.
