This time I went on a trip to Danyang with my boyfriend 🚗💨 While planning the trip I looked up all kinds of things, and if you're coming to Danyang, you really can't skip Danyang Gugyeong Market! It's an essential stop on any Danyang itinerary, and there's so much good Danyang Gugyeong Market food inside that just browsing was fun in itself 👀✨
Among everything, the place I really wanted to try this time was Danppang Bakery in Danyang! Danyang is famous for garlic, right 🌱 This place is known for garlic bread made with Danyang's yukjong garlic (bred garlic variety), so since we were already at the market, we popped in 🤍

They said it can close early once ingredients run out, so that's worth keeping in mind if you're planning to visit! Bread starts coming out from 10:30am, and there were already quite a lot of people there in the morning when we went 👀 It's such a famous spot it's apparently even been on TV. Still, since it's takeout-only, the line moved faster than I expected even with the crowd ✨
The smell of freshly baked bread had me dazed..
One of the reasons I looked up and visited this as a Danyang Gugyeong Market must-eat was the freshly baked Danyang garlic bread! Since the bread only comes out at set times, the smell drifting around while we waited was seriously insane 🥹🤍 The smell of fresh garlic bread right under my nose made waiting almost unbearable haha 🥲 I just wanted to eat it right then

Haha, I ended up eating a bit of every flavor, and I honestly can't pick just one .. they were all ~~~~ amazing .. 🎵🎶🤤
Since it was our first visit, we couldn't decide what to get so we ended up packing the four bestsellers!

Trying one of each, I noticed the flavor and texture differed even though they're all garlic bread, which made picking through them really fun .. 🩵 If it's your first visit, I'd recommend getting a few different ones to share like we did, rather than just one flavor 🤍 You can really taste the distinct flavor of Danyang garlic in the bread, which made it feel truly like Danyang ~
