Sokcho crab takeout at Yes Susan: red snow crab lunchboxes
In short
Yes Susan is a seafood stall in Sokcho Central Market, Gangwon. On the second day of my trip, I took a two-crab red snow crab lunchbox and two fried rices back to my accommodation; the crab was easy to eat and the fried rice was nutty, though the market was crowded and king crab lunchboxes had sold out.

On the second day of my trip, I bought several foods at Sokcho Central Market and had dinner at my accommodation. At Yes Susan (예스수산), I got a red snow crab lunchbox and red snow crab fried rice to go.

How much were the red snow crab lunchbox and fried rice?
The red snow crab lunchbox I chose came with two crabs and cost ₩25,000. The fried rice was an additional item, so I ordered two to match the number of crab shells, for ₩4,000.

Could I buy the lunchbox I wanted during the holiday?
After looking around at the market food, I stopped by Yes Susan last. It was busy because of the holiday, and even though it was not late, the king crab lunchboxes were sold out and only four red snow crab lunchboxes remained. I looked at the displayed red snow crabs and chose the lunchbox I liked myself.

What were the wait, parking, and delivery like?
The red snow crab lunchboxes were displayed, but the fried rice was cooked right after I ordered it, so I sat on a chair at the front and waited briefly. The finished food was placed in an orange insulated shopping bag.
A notice said delivery within Sokcho was available. Sokcho Central Market has a dedicated parking lot and provides parking validation, but the market itself was very crowded on the day I visited. I thought delivery could be convenient if you are staying within Sokcho.

Was the lunchbox well packed for the trip back to my accommodation?
Back at my accommodation, I set out dinner with the other foods I had bought at the market. The red snow crab lunchbox was carefully packed, so I could bring it back without it getting jostled.

The lunchbox contained two well-steamed red snow crabs that had been prepared for easy eating. My companion started with the body, while I tried the red snow crab fried rice first.

How did the fried rice taste, and how was the crab prepared?
The fried rice was nutty to my taste, without any fishiness, and I kept reaching for it. I was glad I had ordered it alongside the red snow crab lunchbox.

I usually do not go for crab dishes because picking out the meat feels like a hassle. But the legs my companion handed me were neatly prepared and easy to eat. They were full of meat, which I found satisfying.

I liked being able to comfortably eat well-steamed, prepared red snow crab at my accommodation. Of the items I tried, the nutty red snow crab fried rice stood out most.
