Seafood takeout in Sokcho: king crab and fried rice

During my trip to Sokcho, I got a king crab lunchbox to go from Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market Large Parking Lot (예스수산) at Jungang Market to share with my boyfriend. We added two king crabs and two fried rice portions, and the crab was prepared so well that it was easy to eat at home.

How long did the king crab lunchbox take?

There were ready-made red snow crab lunchboxes when I visited, but I ordered a king crab lunchbox. It took about 30 minutes to prepare. If you need to pick it up right away, it is worth allowing for that wait.

The king crab I ordered was steamed and prepared for easy eating. Prices varied by size, and I ordered two of a slightly larger size.

Was it easy to take home by car?

It was packed neatly so it was easy to carry home. I was also pleased that there was no smell while bringing it back, so the car did not retain an odor.

When I opened the package, there were more edible parts beneath the king crabs visible on top. The two of us shared the two crabs, and the portion felt generous.

The bodies were full of meat. The meat near the openings of the legs looked a little small, but farther inside there was enough meat that it clung to the shell.

Each king crab was large enough to cover my palm. The rice was also packed in generously, but after eating the crab, I was too full to finish the fried rice.

I liked topping the fried rice with picked king crab meat. This takeout took about 30 minutes to prepare, but I remember the neat packaging, the easy preparation, and the generous amount for two.
