It had been a while since I'd eaten out for pasta, so I went on a lunch date to the Suwan district. Great vibes, great food — here's my lunch review of Bueokgan Suwan Branch!

Inside Bueokgan Suwan Branch: a warm room lit by floor-to-ceiling windows

The moment you walk into Bueokgan Suwan Branch, the sleek feel is great. It's built around huge glass windows, and the good natural light gives the whole space a warm mood that got me excited right away.

There's a nice display piece near the entrance too, and the vibe works perfectly whether you're on a date or having a proper gathering with friends.

Actually, a group of four was there having a wedding invitation get-together haha. It's the perfect spot for that kind of modern vibe these days.

What's on the menu at Bueokgan Suwan Branch

Suwan has a lot of relatively young people, so there are group menus like couple sets and family sets. The pizza is wood-fired too, so just reading the menu made my mouth water.

Bueokgan Suwan Branch really seems to be a pasta specialist. There were so many kinds of pasta that it took us a long time to decide, haha.

Garden salad, vongole pasta and basil margherita pizza

This is the garden salad that kicked off the meal. A totally basic salad, but the vegetables were super fresh.

The crisp, fresh vegetables paired with the sweet-and-salty duo of dressing and ham really got my appetite going haha. The salad greens were so fresh they built up my expectations for the main course!

We'd already decided that if we were doing pasta for lunch, it had to be vongole pasta. And here it is. There were plenty of fresh clams, and thanks to a subtle spicy kick, I could enjoy it cleanly all the way to the end without getting sick of it!

The basil margherita pizza that came out next also made it clear the ingredients were really fresh! It came fresh out of the oven, so the crispy-outside, chewy-inside texture was great.

Every bite had that basil flavor that kept me coming back without getting tired of it, so out of 6 slices I ate 4 of them... lol.

Drinks to go with lunch: single grapefruit juice and iced batch brew

They say food is all about neatness. This meal was so clean and tidy that I kept thinking about it until dinner. The paired drinks were excellent too (we picked them ourselves, haha). I went with the single grapefruit first — that distinct sweet-bitter grapefruit flavor refreshed my palate. And my partner's choice, iced batch brew coffee, helped bring the meal to a clean finish.

This is a fantastic atmospheric restaurant in the Suwan district with a pasta-and-pizza combo. The set menus aren't just about portion and composition — there's real fun in building your own combination, so I highly recommend it 👍.
