Boulangerie Tan Unjeong Main Branch is a bakery on the 1st floor of Farm Star Tower in Unjeong, Paju, and it's closed every Monday. Today I'm recording a delicious visit. This is one of the bakeries I've been going to a lot lately — Boulangerie Tan runs two locations, the Paju Unjeong main branch and the Hyundai Department Store Kintex branch, so it shows up often on my bread-loving routes. Let me leave a review of the main branch today 🙌🏼

There's a line during opening hours. Parking is convenient, but since there are so many stores in the complex, the lot sometimes fills up completely, so reserving ahead and doing a quick pickup might be the way to go. (I'm the one who couldn't park because it was full.)

What to order from the Boulangerie Tan menu

As someone who's eaten here for the nth time, I can recommend the cornet pie. The pastry is light and crisp — the cream has a deep flavor, and they really go together well.

You can probably tell this is a pastry-focused bakery by now?!! I also tried the almond croissant on my last visit, and it's packed with almonds — really delicious. Nutty flavor explosion!

The meal breads and salt breads are delicious too, of course! The sandwiches also have generous fillings, with a great balance of texture and flavor.

There's quite a variety of sandwiches too, so it might be even better to grab the brunch time set discount when you buy them. Worth checking before your visit 🙌🏼

Taste test: three salt breads, cornet pie and flan

This time at Boulangerie Tan, I picked up rice cake salt bread, milk cream salt bread, plain salt bread, cornet pie, and flan 🙌🏼

The bottom of the salt bread is so crackly it's genuinely delicious. Chewy plus crackly salt bread!! I tried the flan for the first time this visit — it's a big size and the nutty-sweet balance was great.

Milk cream salt bread 👍👍 I hope everyone has tried this one 🙌🏼 Just watch out with the cornet pie — the texture is light and filled with custard cream, so it slides right into your mouth. You might not realize how many you've eaten... 😳
