Eating out has gotten so expensive lately, right? Even when you go out for meat, the bill quickly climbs after just a few pieces, so I think all-you-can-eat places are great for visiting without the pressure. This time, I went to Sin Jjukkumi Unlimited Refill Duam Branch (신쭈꾸미 무한리필 두암점).

From fresh pork belly and thin-sliced pork belly to webfoot octopus, you can eat it all in the ₩20,000 range, so it was a nice choice for a family meal or gathering.

There were three of us that day, so we ordered the all-you-can-eat menu for three and added a bottle of beer.

The biggest advantage of Sin Jjukkumi Unlimited Refill Duam Branch is definitely being able to eat as much of the varied menu as you want.

The fresh pork belly, thin-sliced pork belly, and marinated webfoot octopus were all neatly prepared, so it was fun alternating between things instead of eating only one menu item. In times of high prices like these, an all-you-can-eat buffet like this can only be welcome!

If we ran short, we could simply bring back as much more as we wanted, which was convenient because we did not have to worry about portions :)

How was the split grill?

One thing I personally liked was that the grill was divided in half. We put fresh pork belly on one side and grilled the thin-sliced pork belly and marinated webfoot octopus on the other.

Meat and webfoot octopus take different amounts of time to cook, and it can be a little disappointing if the marinades mix. With the spaces divided like this, it was easy to grill each separately.

While browning the fresh pork belly, we cooked the webfoot octopus beside it,

and adding thin-sliced pork belly meant we could rotate among all three items.

Springy and tender marinated webfoot octopus

The webfoot octopus was quite memorable. The flesh was plump, with a springy bite, and above all, the marinated webfoot octopus was tender rather than tough. The spicy seasoning had soaked in well, so it was tasty on its own and also went nicely with wrap greens and bean sprouts.

That will definitely be a plus for anyone who likes webfoot octopus.

Honestly, with all-you-can-eat places, you tend to worry a little about the quality of the meat. But my parents, who visited with me that day, looked at it and complimented it, saying, “The meat quality is good.”

After trying it myself, I found both the fresh pork belly and thin-sliced pork belly pleasantly tasty. Considering it is all-you-can-eat in the ₩20,000 range, I thought it was a very decent setup to enjoy both meat and webfoot octopus at this quality.

Sides from the self-service bar

Another important part of an all-you-can-eat restaurant is the self-service bar. Sin Jjukkumi Unlimited Refill Duam Branch had corn, bean sprouts, shredded scallions, wrap greens, pickled radish sheets, eggs, peppers, and more.

Eating only meat can get rich pretty quickly, but having wrap greens, shredded scallions, and pickled radish sheets alongside it made it easy to keep eating.

Being able to take as much as we wanted ourselves was very convenient too~

A comfortable meal without feeling self-conscious

What I liked as much as the food was the service. At all-you-can-eat places, you can sometimes feel self-conscious, like, “Am I eating too much?” But that day, they never made us feel that way at all.

The owner was kind too, so we could eat comfortably. No matter how decent the food is, if the service makes you uncomfortable, you hesitate to return, but I liked that we could eat here easily without that burden.

Finishing with flying-fish-roe fried rice

We were fairly full, but you just cannot skip fried rice, haha. We added just one serving, and the little pops of flying fish roe were the key point.

After the meat and webfoot octopus, the savory fried rice was a great finishing dish.

We kept saying we were full, but still cleaned every bit of it up. Haha.

Sin Jjukkumi Unlimited Refill Duam Branch seems like a good fit for anyone who wants a hearty, varied meal of meat plus webfoot octopus rather than just one item. I especially liked that fresh pork belly, thin-sliced pork belly, and marinated webfoot octopus were all available in one place, along with a self-service bar, so a group can eat according to each person’s taste.

It was also nice that we could eat comfortably, without anyone making us feel self-conscious despite it being all-you-can-eat, and that the owner was kind. If you want a hearty meal without worrying about the price at a time when dining out feels expensive, Sin Jjukkumi Unlimited Refill Duam Branch in Duam-dong, Buk-gu could be a good option.
