Filling Donkatsu near Cheomdan Ssangam Park
Filling Donkatsu Gwangju Cheomdan Direct Store is a great pork cutlet spot near Cheomdan Ssangam Park📍 I heard Filling Donkatsu had also been selected for Daedon Yeojido, a nationwide map of great pork cutlet restaurants, so my expectations were sky-high.

You can park above or below ground in the building, and if you go over the free parking time, the restaurant registers it for you🅿️ Parking in Cheomdan can be surprisingly tough, so having a parking lot was convenient.

The overall atmosphere was clean and modern, so personally, it looked like a nice place for a date.

There are high chairs and private rooms too, so it is great for a family meal! I recommend making a Naver reservation before visiting✔️

You could even see the fresh pork being aged.

Kiosk ordering and an unlimited self bar
Orders are prepaid at the kiosk📄 There are well-composed set menus, plus a wide range of pork cutlets, pasta, risotto, and more. They are also running a receipt-review event, so keep that in mind.

Filling Donkatsu also has an unlimited self bar✨ You can use it when everyone orders a menu item!

There were salad, side dishes, soup, guk (Korean soup), and toast, with ice cream and coffee for dessert. All of this is unlimited—amazing‼️

When you order, they first bring out soup and salad as appetizers. I always find pork cutlet restaurant soup so delicious haha. Filling Donkatsu's soup was insanely good too, as expected🤩

And! I do not usually like salad that much ㅠ but the salad here was so fresh and the dressing was delicious, so my boyfriend and I kept going back for more while raving about it lol. I thought, my mom would absolutely love this place if I brought her here.

The toast is nicely crisp too—dip it in the provided strawberry jam or soup ^^^^ You all know what I mean 😋

Is the 200-hour tenderloin katsu a must?
200-hour tenderloin katsu, ₩18,000. First up was Filling Donkatsu's signature menu🤍 The 200-hour-aged tenderloin katsu arrived, crisp outside and tender inside. What was interesting was how many different sauces they gave us.

Ahh, can you see that rosy-pink center? My mouth was already watering before I even took a bite💦
Everyone? If you go to Filling Donkatsu, this menu is a must⭐️ One bite and you immediately understand why it is the signature, lol! It is the definition of crisp outside, tender inside, and the juices are seriously no joke ㄷㄷ The sauces that suited my taste best were salt, pork cutlet sauce with mustard, and sesame oil.

How was the tomato pasta loaded with dongjuk clams?
Spicy dongjuk clam tomato pasta, ₩19,500. Pork cutlet and pasta are such a great pairing, you know🍝 To cut through the richness of the fried food, I picked the dongjuk clam tomato pasta because it looked refreshing—and the presentation is lovely, right?

The shrimp were plump and large, and true to its name, it had a ton of dongjuk clams lol. Still, to my taste, it felt more like a seafood stew than tomato sauce, so I think opinions may be divided.

Oh, and although it said spicy, it was not spicy. Even people who cannot handle heat can eat it, so I recommend it if you like dongjuk clams~ It was nice for cleansing the palate while eating the pork cutlet👏

A stroll through Ssangam Park after the meal
After finishing the meal, we had ice cream and coffee too🍦 Since Filling Donkatsu is near Ssangam Park, it was perfect for dinner followed by a walk, you know? Highly recommend it as a Cheomdan date course💛
