A Baekhyeon-dong brunch spot using house-made ingredients
Andover, a place that makes every ingredient in its dishes from scratch. I finally visited Andover, which had been on my list in Baekhyeon-dong Café Street! What makes Andover especially distinctive is that it makes the ingredients for its food itself! From meatballs and jamón to tomato sauce, everything is carefully made in-house—and these ingredients are also sold separately!

Maybe because of those house-made ingredients, the food was not overpowering, and my stomach felt comfortable even after eating. Beyond the flavor, the care and sincerity behind the ingredients made this place even more memorable ✨

Terrace, generous seating, and visitor information
📍 It is an 8–10 minute walk from Pangyo Station Exit 1 or 4. There was terrace seating outside. It would be so lovely to eat out there in nice spring or fall weather ✨
- Tue–Fri 11:30–22:00 / break time 15:30–17:00
- Weekends 11:30–22:00 / no break time
- Closed every Monday
The interior was fairly spacious! The soft lighting made it feel especially cozy and warm. Overall, it had such a comfortable, snug atmosphere 😙 The tables were all a little different, from seats ideal for 2–4 people to a large table for 8. It looked convenient for groups of different sizes!

With floor-to-ceiling windows, I imagine a daytime visit would feel even brighter and warmer with all the natural light ☀️ They also sold a range of wines that would pair nicely with the food.

I heard corkage is free if you bring your own glasses! (For corkage, each person must order one menu item.) The glass charge is ₩5,000! The restrooms were separated by gender and incredibly clean ✨ Please set up your own basics, such as cutlery, water, and plates! There is also a self-service corner for extras. One pickle per person was provided!

A signature steak that lets the flounder shine
(Signature) Flounder Steak — ₩32,000 Flounder steak served with a deep clam-and-vegetable sauce and baguette
I had tried grilled flounder before, but never steak, so I was curious about it haha. That is why I ordered it.

The golden-brown flounder steak looked lighter than I expected! And as expected, the very first bite brought out flounder’s clean, delicate flavor so gently haha.

Flounder has a subtle sweetness in the flesh itself and is not strongly fishy, so it is a great fish to enjoy lightly!

Cooked as a steak, the outside was savory while the flesh inside stayed moist and tender. I especially loved how it broke apart softly along its flakes. It was delicate, but the more I chewed, the more flounder’s subtle ocean flavor came through—a charm quite different from grilled flounder. The clam-and-vegetable sauce made it even better 👍🏻✨

I especially liked that the sauce did not cover up the flounder’s own flavor 👍🏻 If you enjoy delicate fish dishes, I think you will be very satisfied with this flounder steak haha.
A large, tall house-made ragù lasagna
(Signature) Lasagna — ₩29,000 A large, tall lasagna layered with house-made meat-filled ragù sauce, cheese, and béchamel cream
Above all, the lasagna was so large and tall that its appearance alone was impressive 🫢 And when I actually tried it, the taste exceeded my expectations too!!

Lasagna is surprisingly hard to get really right! If the sauce is too heavy or rich, you can tire of it after just a few bites, but I enjoyed Andover’s lasagna all the way through haha.

There was loads of ragù sauce between the layers, giving it such a deep, rich flavor 😝 Yet despite that richness, it was less heavy than expected, so I kept eating haha.

The house-made ragù in particular did not taste artificial or overly seasoned; the meatiness and deep tomato flavor came together beautifully!

Then there was that stretchy cheese and béchamel cream, making it even nuttier and silkier!! 😝 Since it is so large and tall, I recommend cutting through the layers with a fork rather than trying to eat it in one bite! Pasta, ragù, cheese, and cream all came together at once, making every bite feel wonderfully full 👍🏻 I loved getting so many flavors and textures in a single bite haha.
If you love lasagna, it is definitely a menu item worth trying at least once! Rather than the thin, light lasagnas you often find, this is a rich style generously filled with meat and sauce, and it was very filling! I have tried all kinds of lasagna because I love it, and this was the first one in a while that made me think, wow, this is really delicious~
Anchovy oil pasta brightened with tomato and pine nuts
Andover Anchovy Pasta — ₩21,000 An oil pasta with anchovy and tomato for savoriness, plus pine nuts, black olives, and parsley
This was an oil pasta with anchovy and tomato for extra savoriness! At first, because it was an oil pasta, I expected a light, clean taste, but the subtle anchovy gave it much deeper flavor than I expected!

The bright tomato flavor also kept the oil from feeling too rich haha. It was my first time trying oil pasta with pine nuts! The occasional crunch added a nutty flavor and texture haha. The black olives brought just the right touch of saltiness too, which I loved.

The sauce had soaked nicely into the noodles, so every bite carried the gentle savoriness of anchovy and tomato!

It was nutty and savory, with a fresh tomato note too—personally, it was one of the most delicious pastas I have had recently 😙 This was also one of the recent restaurants where both the food and my stomach felt great! I think making the ingredients in-house keeps the food from feeling harsh on the body haha. If you are looking for a brunch café on Baekhyeon-dong Café Street, I highly recommend Andover 🌿✨
