What kind of restaurant is Gang's Duck?

Gang's Duck is a Chinese restaurant in Ingye-dong, Suwon, with a great atmosphere, specializing in a variety of Chinese dishes like Peking duck, dongpo-yuk (braised pork belly), and buddha's delight. I'd wanted to go for a while and finally made it! Here's my review of the delicious Chinese food I had at this Ingye-dong favorite. Whoosh~

They're open Mon–Sun 11:00–23:00, with a break time from 15:30–17:00. Last order is at 14:30 and 22:00.

Where is Gang's Duck and where do you park?

Gang's Duck is located at 46-9 Hyowon-ro 249beon-gil, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, 1st floor. It's inside the Ingye-dong Box, so it has a really prime spot haha.

There's no parking support, so you need to use a nearby public or private lot :) I safely parked at the Suwon City Hall parking lot. The price was pretty reasonable... whoa.

Even from outside, the place gave off that good-restaurant smell. There seemed to be quite a few people too haha. I can't believe a place like this was in Ingye-dong..!!

Why you need a reservation at Gang's Duck

We came to Gang's Duck with a reservation, because the dishes we were having today take quite a bit of time to prepare, so a reservation was a must :) The interior had that completely upscale Chinese restaurant vibe..!! Total atmosphere gangster 😍 I have to admit it.

There was a Peking duck on display in the restaurant, and it was seriously huge haha. Total shock! I'll have to try the Peking duck next time haha. Made my mouth water…

My name was even written on the reserved seat haha. It felt so welcoming. A little classy, isn't it 😎😎 I liked it haha.

What we ordered at Gang's Duck and what it cost

At Gang's Duck we ordered dongpo-yuk for ₩32,000, Peking duck fried rice for ₩12,000, and zero coke for ₩2,000. The plating was clean and the table setting was pretty too, dot com 🥰

The complimentary side dishes were good enough to keep my mouth from getting bored. I was so hungry I finished them all before the main dishes even arrived haha.

How do you cut and eat string-tied dongpo-yuk?

Maybe because we had a reservation, the dongpo-yuk came out in a flash haha. I was hungry, so having it come out at such superspeed surprised me haha. The staff also kindly explained how to eat the dongpo-yuk :) It's tied with string on the outside, and they told us to be careful when eating it... such attention to detail 🥰🥰

Let's cut it up neatly haha. As I cut it into bite-sized pieces, I got nervous since this was my first time eating dongpo-yuk this way..!! I wasn't quite sure how to eat it, but let's dig in enthusiastically, dot com.

Besides the dongpo-yuk, there were also vegetables like bok choy and bean sprouts, which seemed to add to the flavor :) They looked so tender!!!

Let's pop it in our mouth together with the bok choy. The color was so nice it put me in a good mood :) haha.

How was the Peking duck fried rice with crispy rice?

Next, the Peking duck fried rice arrived too..!! Total visual gangster appeared, oh my gosh :)..!

It was so piping hot that it looked incredibly appetizing haha. I almost burned the roof of my mouth…!!!🤯🤯 Let's be careful eating this one haha.

The fluffy Peking duck fried rice was so delicious :) I kept biting into crispy bits of fried rice throughout, which made the texture fun too. Totally recommend this dish, you have to try it, definitely haha🥰🥰

Is Gang's Duck worth a visit in Ingye-dong?

Today I went to Ingye-dong favorite Gang's Duck, and I think this was the first time in my life I've properly eaten dongpo-yuk haha! I realized Chinese food can be this upscale and flavorful too..! Totally delicious… want to eat it again..

Gang's Duck would also be great for a date, and since the atmosphere is upscale, I recommend visiting Gang's Duck if you want to properly experience Chinese cuisine..!
