Damaged-hair setting perm at a Gwangju salon: Eco Revi

I've been blow-drying my hair a lot lately, and it had gotten so damaged ㅠㅠ But I really wanted a perm, so after thinking it over, I visited because this was somewhere I could get care and a new style at the same time!

The moment I walked in, it felt good! The wood tones and prominent logo gave it an upscale feel, and the high ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows brought in such great natural light 👍

The inside was much bigger than I expected. There were several cutting stations and even a consultation room where you could have a thorough chat. I went over the hairstyle I wanted in the consultation room before getting started. Each station had its own mirror, hair dryer, and products neatly arranged, which made everything feel very tidy.

The price list was posted clearly, so I could check the prices in advance and decide on my service. There were first-visit discounts, Naver discounts, and membership discounts too, so it seemed designed to help you save. They offered everything from head spas to cuts, perms, and coloring. They also said hair appointments and nighttime head spas are available even late in the day. It seemed like a comfortable place to visit for people who work late too, haha.

From damaged-hair shampoo care to a setting perm

Since my hair needed damaged-hair care, I first had my scalp and hair treated with a protein shampoo. They explained that the Eco Revi Repair Shampoo was a treatment shampoo with peptides and Ceramide 3, which helps nourish damaged hair.

For the cut, they mainly tidied up the damaged ends, then we moved on to the setting perm. I even took photos while the rollers were in—strangely fascinating! They kept checking on the condition of my hair throughout the service, which made me feel comfortable.

They also brought out refreshments during the appointment. With a drink and cookies all set up, I wasn't bored at all while getting my hair done. It's a small thing, but I think this kind of thoughtfulness really boosts the overall experience 💕

There was even a dog at the salon, which was seriously healing! While I was waiting, the dog was quietly lying down beside me. Sooo cute..🫶

My finished hair! I loved it so much. I got my setting perm from designer Sangmin, who was kind and incredibly attentive. The waves came out beautifully, and with the damaged sections tidied up, I definitely feel more feminine than before! At the end, they also explained in detail how to dry my hair at home, so it has been easy to keep up the style myself.

Hair-care products and a head spa for next time

Eco Revi Hair & Spa also had hair-care products. They were care products made without potentially harmful ingredients such as parabens and silicone, designed to minimize irritation to the scalp and hair and support a healthy scalp! After receiving care with these hair products, my damaged hair definitely felt better. Since they also offer head spas, I want to come back for a spa next time.
