Cheomdan Chinese restaurant, solo set meal and self-serve bar: Mayway
Mayway is a Chinese restaurant in Cheomdan, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, near Lotte Mart Cheomdan and Gyeojassi Church, and it is the long-loved Daeheung Banjeom reborn with upgraded cooking. The writer ordered brisket jjamppong (spicy noodle soup) for 13,900 won and the solo set meal of jjajang, jjamppong and tangsuyuk for 12,900 won, added unlimited rice and scallion kimchi from the self-serve bar, and finished with cherry ice cream. Both the smoky, brisket-loaded jjamppong and the thick jjajang are generous with ingredients, so Mayway is worth a return trip for Chinese food in Cheomdan.
