Gunpo Korean BBQ for pork belly and jjageuli: Geobugi Dongne

It’s fall already??? Hahahaha, how strange ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ The weather went from one extreme to the other in just a week!!! Hahahaha

Today I’m going to tell you about Geobugi Dongne Gunpo Sanbon Branch (거북이동네 군포산본점), a Gunpo meat restaurant I visited with my dad hahaha 🥩💕 We were looking for delicious pork belly in Sanbon, and it was even tastier than expected, so Dad and I ate our fill hahaha.

The place I visited was Geobugi Dongne Gunpo Sanbon Branch! It’s near Sanbon Station, so it was easy to find, and the restaurant is spacious, which made it nice for a family meal too!!!!!

The restaurant is large and really clean 👍👍👍👍👍 So nice for dining out 💕💕💕

Ordering pork belly and jjageuli

We ordered pork belly and jjageuli, a Korean-style stew!!! Doesn’t the jjageuli look amazing????? 😋😋😋😋 Since we came for meat, pork belly was of course a must hahaha. We put it on the grill and cooked it until golden, and it was nutty and delicious 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇

The quality of the meat was so good too ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

I think pork belly is best when it’s grilled nicely and wrapped up in ssam (leaf wraps) hahaha. We put the meat on wrap vegetables and added this and that, and Dad and I just kept eating hahaha. At first we said we’d eat a sensible amount and leave, but once we started hahaha, we ended up eating our fill.

Having the jjageuli alongside the meat was a nice combination too hahahaha. It was good with rice, and also nice to have a little of between bites of pork belly hehehe.

A self-service bar for choosing wraps and sides

I was happy with the varied self-service bar too! One thing I liked about Geobugi Dongne Gunpo Sanbon Branch was its self-service bar hahaha. It’s a little disappointing when you run short on wraps or side dishes while eating meat, but there were lots of things prepared here, so we could comfortably help ourselves hahaha.

There were different kinds of wraps, bean sprouts, sweet corn, and more, so you can just pick what you want >__< I especially love sweet corn hahaha, so I brought some over to have with the meat too hehehe. With several kinds of wraps, I ate the pork belly plain, wrapped it up, and had fun trying all sorts of combinations 👍👍💙

The meat quality was so good, and it was great value too 👍👍👍👍 So delicious ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

Ice cream after a meat-filled meal

It was nice that we could even have ice cream for dessert after eating our fill of meat 🍦 You need something sweet after meat, right? Hahaha. Dad and I had such a filling meal, and finishing it with ice cream made it feel like a proper meal out hahaha.

A filling day out for a family meal

If you’re looking for somewhere to comfortably eat meat with family in Sanbon, or looking for a good pork belly spot in Sanbon, it could be worth a visit hehehe. Dad and I had pork belly plus jjageuli that day, made full use of the self-service bar, and even had ice cream—we left really full hahaha.
