Yangju Korean BBQ restaurant with free naengmyeon: Manpo Galbi

In short

Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch is a two-story Korean BBQ restaurant in Mansong-dong, Yangju, Gyeonggi. The writer ate seasoned pork galbi upstairs with complimentary handmade Hamhung-style naengmyeon (cold noodles, both water and spicy versions), plus yukjeon (pan-fried beef) and yukhoe (beef tartare) as standard side dishes. With fruit-based seasoning that never gets cloying, free noodles, and a dessert corner with bbeong-cream and coffee, it's an easy repeat pick for a family meal out.

Table setting of seasoned pork galbi at Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch

Looking for a Korean BBQ restaurant in Yangju? The galbi here is so good that after opening in Uijeongbu, Manpo Galbi opened this Yangju main branch too — I went to check it out.

Location and parking at Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch

Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in a standalone two-story building in Mansong-dong, Yangju. Both the 1st and 2nd floors operate as dining halls, and there's a large dedicated parking lot right in front, so you can visit without worrying about parking.

The name 'Manpo' (만포) combines characters meaning 'full' and 'to give generously' — 'to give abundantly.' That fits: good-quality food and dessert at reasonable, value-for-money prices, making it an easy Korean BBQ restaurant in Yangju to recommend without breaking the bank.

A wait at mealtime, so we sat upstairs

As I mentioned, Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch is famous enough for galbi that it earned this Yangju branch after the Uijeongbu one. Word has clearly spread in Yangju too — when we arrived around mealtime, there were a lot of people waiting. The 1st floor tables at Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch were completely full,

so we went up and sat at a table on the 2nd floor. Since Manpo Galbi Yangju is such a well-known spot for group gatherings and family meals, making a Naver Reservation before you go means you can eat right away without waiting.

💡 Tip for using Manpo Galbi in Yangju easily and quickly: try making a Naver Reservation.

Order the meat and get Hamhung naengmyeon free

Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch gives you handmade Hamhung-style naengmyeon (cold noodles) for free when you order meat — living up to its name of giving generously to guests.

So we ordered seasoned galbi along with water naengmyeon and bibim naengmyeon. In my house, eating naengmyeon after the meat is basically required, so having it provided for free was such a nice touch.

Yukjeon and yukhoe as standard side dishes

The free handmade Hamhung naengmyeon is already a huge plus at Manpo Galbi, but the quality of the basic side dishes was also excellent. Among the neatly, cleanly served banchan, yukjeon (pan-fried beef) and yukhoe (beef tartare) were included as standard sides. That's perfect for a family meal out or a lunch gathering, right? ☺️

Eating yukjeon and yukhoe while the meat grilled meant the wait never felt boring, and since yukhoe is usually sold as its own main dish, getting to taste it as a side was a nice bonus. We enjoyed it a lot :D

The self-serve bar for easy refills was also kept clean and well managed.

Time to grill it up nicely. 🤍

Yangju seasoned galbi grilling

Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch uses 100% real pork ribs and loads the marinade with fruit, so instead of an overly sweet, overpowering flavor, it's a healthier seasoning that never got tiring — I could enjoy it right through to the end of the meal.

While grilling, I kept flipping the galbi with the tongs and taking a close look — you could really see with your own eyes that this was quality galbi. Can you tell how plump and glossy it looks in the photos? I always show delicious galbi up close 🤗

Why families keep coming back for this one

Visiting Manpo Galbi in Yangju, I noticed so many families gathered for meals together. Galbi is a crowd-pleaser to begin with, and since the seasoning here isn't overpowering, it works for parents and kids alike — that seems to be exactly why families keep choosing Manpo Galbi in Yangju for their meals out.

Finishing with water and bibim naengmyeon

While we were happily eating the pork galbi, the free naengmyeon service from Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch arrived,

Free water naengmyeon (Hamhung-style cold noodles) provided
A bowl of handmade bibim naengmyeon

and eating the water naengmyeon and bibim naengmyeon together was pure honey. 👍🏻 If you're looking for a Korean BBQ restaurant in Yangju, give Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch a try. The galbi was genuinely delicious, and we're planning to go back next time we're craving it.

Bbeong-cream, coffee, and a dessert corner too

After enjoying the galbi, Manpo Galbi in Yangju has thoughtfully set up a dessert corner where you can have bbeongtwigi (puffed rice snack) & ice cream — bbeong-cream — or coffee for dessert.

⭐️ This was my review of Manpo Galbi in Yangju: 100% real pork galbi with a healthy, non-overpowering fruit-based marinade, plus free handmade naengmyeon and dessert, all at a reasonable, generous price.
