Big-table bossam set for groups in Samgye-dong, Gimhae: Gaya Kkeutjip

In short

Gaya Kkeutjip Samgye is a Korean restaurant in Samgye-dong, Gimhae that serves generous full-table set menus. On a second visit the writer ordered the B set with bossam (boiled pork wraps), and the plentiful side dishes, grilled mackerel and seaweed soup kept arriving so quickly the chopsticks could barely keep up. Come with an empty stomach — Gaya Kkeutjip Samgye suits family and group gatherings.

This is for if there's a wait — I went right after weekend break time ended and it was pretty quiet, so I got seated right away haha

Is Gaya Kkeutjip Samgye good for group gatherings?

This was my second visit to Gaya Kkeutjip, and every time it's clean, spacious and comfortable ✨️ There are a lot of tables, so I'd recommend it as a group meal spot too. With parking support available, it's convenient for larger gatherings ••• 🙂

Spacious interior of Gaya Kkeutjip

Most of the tables are a mix of sofa and chair seating. The tables are pretty wide too, so there's less of the hassle of constantly rearranging things as more food keeps arriving!

What comes with the B set bossam table

📝 Gaya Kkeutjip is known for its set menus — they come out really clean and well arranged. There are three sets total, A, B and C, and today I ordered the B set bossam (boiled pork wraps). (( All set menus can only be ordered for 2 or more people ))

Last time I also tried the A set gochujang bulgogi (spicy stir-fried pork), and it had that great smoky char, so good haha. Beyond the set menus there are plenty of à la carte options too, so it's easy to order extras 🫧

Basic side dish spread for the B set bossam

This is the basic setup before the main dishes even arrive. Honestly you could fill up on just this. So many side dishes, and they're all delicious and generous portions — total rice thieves, I nearly burst 🍚

Japchae and seaweed in the set menu spread

The seaweed wallet is so cute hahaha. There's also japchae (stir-fried glass noodles) that comes out, and it's genuinely delicious.

Yangnyeom gejang and aged kimchi stew side dishes

Yangnyeom gejang (soy-marinated raw crab) comes as a side dish . . . ♡ and next to it there's also a braised aged kimchi stew.

Tofu salad side dish

A tofu salad is a nice, light way to start the meal.

And now the whole spread is complete 🔥 The food comes out fast, so there's basically no waiting around! I loved how quickly it all arrived. That said, there was so much to eat that my chopsticks kept buffering the whole meal hahahahaha. Truly happy . . . . ♡

Eating the bossam with garlic sauce and bossam kimchi

Last time I came I had bossam for two plus gochujang bulgogi for two, so I'd had the bossam before too. I remembered it being so good that I ordered it again this time, and honestly the first bite was almost like a honeycomb candy level of good hahaha

Bossam from the B set menu

Dip it deep in the garlic sauce that comes with it, then pile on the bossam kimchi and bossam radish kimchi, and take a big bite — wahhh, so happy . . . ♡ The bossam kimchi sides are all refillable too, so you can eat as much as you like!

The lettuce wraps come out neatly arranged too.

Seaweed soup comes with it, and the savory depth is unreal. Take a big bite of bossam, then sip the seaweed soup right after — just pure happiness ⭐️ (( And happy news, the seaweed soup is also refillable ))

They even bring out grilled mackerel. There's genuinely so much to eat . . . ? I'd recommend visiting Gaya Kkeutjip for the set menu on a totally empty stomach haha. The mackerel has zero fishy taste, just clean and delicious. (( How many main dishes are there even ••• ))

Clean, mild grilled mackerel

I wrapped the bossam in lettuce too.

And also wrapped it in seaweed. The meat-to-fat ratio on the bossam is just perfect, it melts so softly in your mouth . . . . 🥹

Wrapping a generous piece of mackerel and the aged kimchi stew together in seaweed is also a real treat ^^ ( basically, everything here is delicious )

Mix coffee and maesil palate cleanser area

After paying, look to the side and you'll find a mix coffee machine and maesil (plum extract drink) waiting for you. Gaya Kkeutjip even takes care of the palate cleanser at the end — that's love . . . . 🩶 It's such a great place to bring your parents, so I'd recommend it as a family gathering spot too!
