My partner loves sushi, so it had been a while since we visited Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch near Pyeongtaek Station. We parked at Jaran Public Parking Lot — it's a 3-minute walk to Mikado Sushi from there. It's also close enough to Pyeongtaek Station to easily visit by public transit.

It's a spacious restaurant, but it was packed with customers.

There's always a wait here, so I came mentally prepared, but we got lucky and sat right down. After us, though, people were definitely waiting!

Conveyor-belt sushi with every plate at 2,100 won

Every single plate costs ₩2,100! Unlike typical conveyor-belt sushi restaurants where you have to calculate the price by plate color, here I could just freely pick whatever I wanted to eat.

Different sushi types come with different dipping sauces already set up. I noticed there were ice packs under the sauces too. The owner's attention to detail is the best 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

After we sat down, they gave us water and jangguk (savory clear soup).

How QR ordering works for sushi that is not on the rail

Salmon, eel, shrimp, cheese bacon, yukhoe (beef tartare) sushi, shrimp egg roll.

Flounder, salmon marinated in soy sauce, and cuttlefish. There's such a wide variety of sushi that both fans of raw fish sushi and people who prefer lighter options like shrimp or egg would love Mikado Sushi. And if what you want isn't visible on the rail, there's a menu you can order separately, which made picking exactly what I felt like eating really fun.

There's a QR code at the front of each seat, and you just scan it with your phone to order — such a convenient system.

These are the sushi we ordered separately via QR that weren't on the rail. They definitely felt tastier and more upscale than the rail sushi!

Sushi plates eaten by two people

The two of us casually ate 28 plates. It was great that there was so much variety and the sushi was fresh. Next time I want to come in the evening and pair sushi with a ₩2,100 draft beer. They sell reasonably priced drinks too! The staff were especially kind, which made it even better 🤍

Amenities at Mikado Sushi, from mouthwash to blankets

One of the best things about Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek branch! When you eat sushi, bad breath can be a concern, but they even have individual mouthwash packets ready! Make sure to grab one. Hair ties, hand sanitizer, dental floss, blankets — they had absolutely everything prepared. If you have plans near Pyeongtaek Station or are looking for a simple lunch or dinner spot, Mikado Sushi with its fixed per-plate pricing is a great choice.

Space stocked with mouthwash and other amenities

We sat at the counter seats for two, but there's also group seating for 4 or more, so it looks great for bringing kids or for group gatherings. Mikado Sushi draws all kinds of ages, from kids to elders, and having visited, I understand why it's so popular.

The restroom is located inside the restaurant. No need to step outside to use it!

Mikado Sushi has a real-name system for its flounder and red seabream. I visited on September 12, and the fish was prepared that same day, which was really great. Details like this are probably why Mikado Sushi has so many regulars and customers.

I learned for the first time that you can change the photo on the Toss payment terminal. It showed a photo of the staff haha
